Sounds bad on Aether. How are people gaining this much infamy for rampant cheating over long periods of time and S-E doesn't stop them? The quality and reputation of FF XIV can be damaged by inaction against malicious exploits and cheating. We need enough moderators to deal with a community of this size and they need enough power to make judgement calls against players who are very clearly cheating but not admitting as much. The punishment should be equal to that of RMT; it can't be a temporary suspension that preserves their ill-gotten gains. They can't keep the rewards they cheated to get while also denying legit players of those rewards. Any punishment which doesn't address that is wholly ineffective.

The precedent has already been set.

This isn't a suddenly new thing that has popped up. This has been happening ever since ranked started and they've done nothing. And they will continue to do nothing. They've shown zero good will towards the community in terms of trying to stop it from happening. I envy some of you who hold out hope they will fix it, but I haven't been holding my breath since season 2, it really isn't worth the headache.

Nothing done about win trading, no mmr decay so people can just sit where they are for months. They clearly have no intention to fix anything with the ladder.

I would go so far as hoping dark week doesn't happen this season for Aether. Frankly, dark week simply further promotes shady activity, rather than give a sense of "mystery" for people trying to legitimately climb. It would literally do the opposite of what the concept of a dark week is suppose to accomplish.

Of course, you have to consider the other data centers for a decision like this. They certainly can't not have a dark week only for one or a few data centers.

So when do we get to start naming names? Because I'm sure after a thread like this SE would very happily ban these wintraders? Am I right? Official response needed on this. I have my long list ready!

I think throwers/trolls should also be condemned to some sort of punishment. I've had the same AST for about 7 games now that keeps spamming Deorbit on me and the melee DPS for no reason, which costs us kills. And doing stuff like that really makes the game much less fun and turns it frustrating if anything.

You should probably not mark your healers target to ignore when the match starts.
I've been watching a lot of your games from streams and whenever healers die you always spam "Nice Job" or "Good Match". When you get a healer you don't like you mark them target to ignore right at the start of games.

Even when I heal you there are times when you just get under my skin due to "Nice Job" when someone dies or "target to ignore".

Stressing out your party with spam and toxic behavior IMO is almost on the same level as throwing and trolling.

Please treat your healers and party mates with respect.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not sure if this is exaggerated or not. And if it's not, then I sincerely apologize and will definitely work on reducing and eliminating my "toxicity".
It's rather hard [for me] to keep calm when you're paired with the same people who make the same mistakes/sabotage the team when it would have been an easy win otherwise.

Now, bare with me, for the following is going to look and seem very ironic.

However, I would argue that using Deorbit on someone, an action that directly affects the game, just to displace them because they "got under your skin" is also not the best way to remedy said stress. Throwing matches would also not lighten the stress. And as you've mentioned, responding to spamming chat with more chat spamming doesn't do that either. If anything, it makes it worse by making the player more frustrated. Responding to toxicity with more toxicity makes the match a worse experience for everyone involved.

I agree with your point of stressing out the party with spam and toxic behavior is about the same level as throwing and trolling (and again, I'd like to apologize for my actions if I did the aforementioned things), but we should be the better people and not let that get to us and continue to do our best to provide the best experience for the community as a whole. (Sorry for the cliche response.)

I'm going to take this to heart and hope other players who are in similar situations will, too.

I guess the bigger lesson would be to:

Please treat everyone, regardless of behavior, with respect.

I can support this from personal experience. You spend the time to spam chat you also can spend time losing, encouragement could b considered a tool if people are willing to work with you instead of just constant bickering

Intentionally losing a game or messing up a teammate because you don't like them is worse than them sarcastically spamming Good Job or otherwise being toxic. People can be jerks. Making a jerk lose makes you a bigger jerk.

Because squeenix doesn't focus on PVP. They basically only added it to the game to please some select groups complaining about pvp. But since the release of PVP, win trading has been a "normal" thing, from what I've always seen. So I assume they're not really interested in fixing the issues and priorities are elsewhere.
