nvidia with optimus

I just wanted to know about the new nvidia cards before I bought a new laptop. didn't want to buy a big paperweight.

I think any laptop that can play FFXIV now with good setting or play the game at all could play the game later on without issue when 2.0 come out.

Im using a ASUS G73JW with the GTX 460M and the game runs fine. But mind you FFXIV is heavy on ur GPU. My GPU runs at 99% all the time at about 70 degrees. Make sure you get a laptop cooler cause the GPU gets pretty hot and your laptop will shut down.

Mine shut down a few times due to the overheating and my laptop cooler fixed it.

I wouldn't necessarily say they are poop. They don't even know what brand of RAM and such goes in the laptop, on top of them being overpriced. Otherwise the hardware isn't that bad. Again, not worth the price.
