thanks for letting me know that. I was a little worried about the new cards not working after reading some reviews.

it will work but you have to use full screen to play.
    case1:
Previously I have Lenovo with 550m. I set ffxivboot as nvidia only. with machine set to be max performance and graphic card switch set to nvidia card.
However, if I was under windows mode as soon as I switch to my internet browser, my ff14 will get error message "can't find direct X device". It runs fine with full-screen.

    case 2:
then I bought my ASUS G53 with i7 and 460m. Other friend get Alienware m17x r3 with i7 and 460m.
However, my asus didn't mark as optimus but I think his does.
I can play with windows mode, but his can't. It's the same problem once you switch out you get error message.

    FYI ^^:

Im using a ASUS G73JW with the GTX 460M and the game runs fine. But mind you FFXIV is heavy on ur GPU. My GPU runs at 99% all the time at about 70 degrees. Make sure you get a laptop cooler cause the GPU gets pretty hot and your laptop will shut down.

Mine shut down a few times due to the overheating and my laptop cooler fixed it.

    *EDIT*
Quoted wrong person.. this was for the guy whose looking to get a laptop. Also! dont get alienware.. they are poop

I wouldn't necessarily say they are poop. They don't even know what brand of RAM and such goes in the laptop, on top of them being overpriced. Otherwise the hardware isn't that bad. Again, not worth the price.
