Why not let Top100 actualy to be 100 different players and not let alt to participate.
Because right now some players can have the reward twice and steal spot of others players.
Like climb in solo was not already like a crazy roll of dice everyday, we still have to deal with alts.

I don't know if it's that they don't care. They are probably working on a solution that may take a while. Like how would they code it in?

It's not the coding aspect that makes this difficult. It's almost impossible to determine the difference between an Alternate Account and a second player in the house. They could simply use a method of removal for any same account characters. But that wouldn't fix the entire issue.


For hacking/Win Trading, it would be much more helpful if they were able to use video proof to aid in their investigations. Then after that it's a (Boring.Tedious, but effective) matter of looking at the logs. Filtering by win/loss only if possible, determine a players largest amount of wins/losses against a single player, look at damage dealt/healing done and, (if possible) times disconnected against certain players versus others, that's all just for win trading.

They also should have the ability to see if a player is forcing matches against themselves by cross-checking IP/Mac, though there are ways around this sort of checking unfortunately.

For third party tools(hacking), well the only answer really is better security. I'm not sure how much they can really do on this front. But if they want to see this ever get to esports level they're going to have to commit resources to this sooner rather than later.

For callout usage, removal of the battle log during PvP is probably the only way.

In short, for a limited team it's not a small task at all. However if they don't commit any resources to this now, feast won't survive to be competitive later. A lot of players are feeling burned as it is.

I'm pretty new to the fold but from what I see on the forums, the devs and mods just don't care. You can go back 20+ pages and no one even acknowledges the problem exists, let alone update us on preventing it in the future. There is no way this will be taken seriously as a competitive platform.

There's a reason pvp still not claimed an esport. It is clear SE wants take it there but also clear that it will need some time. Just look at all the people with teleport hacks, I'm amazed the positioning relies on client side when pvp and server side when pve (I'm looking at all that Titan's slides I got when EU were still in NA soil...).

Cheating and all that stuff will always be existing in any game but needs be an exception, not a daily occurrence.

Questioning what SE does with PVP is useless. They have proven time and time again they either don't care or do not have a capable / large enough team.

Does anyone know if these same issues plague JP data centers? if not maybe SE doesn't realize how bad it is here in NA/EU or they simply don't know how to fix it. Because "not caring" seems kinda weird seeing how they managed to relaunch failed game and got second chance, so i hope there is something else behind this mess than simply not caring.

I made a post on the JP PVP forum talking about these very issues -- the third party software that calls out when someone is bursting, the alts clogging the leaderboard, the win-trading. Making suggested changes got lots of support but not a single dev comment.
