The only thing I find annoying about DRG is my eye charges falling off. One pause to get back TP, or the tank trying to be nice and making sure people are ready before pulls. Or just not DOING pulls one after the other and my 4 charges just .. poof. Gone. One stupid mechanic that makes me wait for 30 seconds (I'm looking at YOU yojimbo) GONE.

I've made a macro to set my eye on the DPS and notify them to keep close, I can keep BoTD up pretty well even while running during big pulls by chaining the aoe combo... Eyes falling off just IRKS me. No other job has a mechanic like that that just drops a minute and half of work.

Yes, I totally agree and I completely understand about Yojimbo, lately I try to use the Eye the moment I enter the Yojimbo arena to avoid wasting the Eye, of course that is assuming I've been able to set it up prior to entering.

Another instance when the eye falls off is when the tank will pull all the enemies in one long run before stopping. I know he meant well, but yeah the Eye is gone by the time he stops to kill all the mobs he picked up.

The dungeon finder has this thing where it attempts to have a melee and a ranged DPS, so I have a macro that always executes on the top player in my sorted list. Unless he drops, that's the tank. If I am not feeling extremely lazy, I quickly edit the macro to the number of another melee DPS. I never expect a mage, bard or machinist to stay within range even if told about it.

Maybe, just maybe, if the eyes required BotD to earn, but not to maintain... if BotD goes away, you keep your eyes... but got to say, the same goes for death. Death penalty is nasty for DRG.

Mine just uses slot 4 or 8, depending on the size of the instance. I just /p it as a courtesy so 1. people know the red tether isn't bad, 2. they know WHY i keep edging toward them. Most times I've found after I added the notification that people would at least attempt to be in range since they'd get a boost too. Giving a tank a damage boost is a last resort for me, I'd rather save it for when I can get close to the other DPS and weave it into my B4B trigger.

I'd be fine if It was just to earn.. that's fair, theres gotta be at least some flair to it. As was said earlier BotD is insanely easy to put back up since it's almost always ready. Dying kinda should be a penalty though, need SOME reason to avoid it.
