and those people don't change their names to something like D**k Face, for example, and expect to not be ridiculed in public. There are repercussions for doing something like that. In the real world, those repercussions include public humiliation, and becoming unemployable for example. In Eorzea those repercussions include being reported for TOS violations.

actually yes,it is their game, and their copy right, it is their place to set rules, and decide what they want their NPCs to say, and also if your name is against the rules they have set for the player. There are rules every where, some do go overboard, but rules for FFXIV are pretty light and standard, if you can not follow them, don't be surprised to be reported later.
