What do you think about item pop NM's?

So, Ive seen alot of people defending Instances and WoW..

But what exactly are the Cons to Pop NMs?.. I can't think of any..

As I mentioned before I see very little difference in farming faction points than farming an item.

Also we do have some kind of item pop mechanics in the game already the Ifrit Lamp requires us to farm an item does it not, it doesn't exactly pop an NM but you are required to have it if you want to open a chest.
