It is for the seasonal gear on the Mog Station (it's not true in-game, but I think that was what Tint meant). I like the casual sexism of some of the descriptions in the store. The bias is really subtle!

They gave us some of the less desirable classic Scion outfits to bulk up the male-only numbers on Mog Station after hearing that everyone was upset, then inexplicably went out of their way to unlock Aymeric's hairstyle for no reason later (can I have Minfilia's hair, please?) and retained the in-game gender locks that everyone was complaining about in the first place. If they ever unlock class-locked glamours, the 'balance' of giving us a couple of extra pieces of gear in Mog Station will look even weaker since most of the old Scion gear is cloned already.

I'm disgusted with the whole thing. S-E used to have such a good reputation for catering towards a broad demographic, too.
