Okay I have to share this.
Leveling my red mage and got Cutter's Cry for leveling roulette. Probanly my least favorite dungeon in the entire game, but whatever. I didn't care. Let's do it. I had a pretty good time as RDM kicks all kinds of ass. But just as we engaged the Chimera i started lagging pretty hard. Perks of living in eastern europe. A harder rain storm ruined my internet connection a good five hours before it showed up. We died twice. Lag got to the point where the only thing I could hope for was to keep moving, randomly cast spells and pray for the boss to die. I was useless.
Finally my connection broke and I couldn't even log back for a few minutes. It was only natural that they kicked me and found a new dps to down the boss.

Expect, no. That didn't happen. When I was back I was still in the group, the boss was dead and the last guy was still there waiting for me. It really warmed my heart. ^^

Tank keeps failing to do the quick time button mash event. Keeps calling out the dps for not killing the sword fast enough. He seriously thought the sword should have been destroyed in two seconds.

is it too much to ask of people in a MMO to be simply considerate of people playing with them?

Performance anxiety is one thing that's making you do as much as you can - it shouldn't, however, be a requirement or the only reason for people to think about carrying their own weight... it's just common courtesy. And common sense, I guess. :/

Did The Aery last night. Tank was watching the initial cut scene and one the DPS dropped right off the bat. With the penalty plus queue time, I'm sure we still finished before that DPS got another dungeon.

Someone please explain to me why I see more black mages using manaward than tanks using their basic defensive cooldowns in expert roulette, please. I need to know WHY.

Because healers forget we exist while they're spamming stone 1.

I try not to forget BLM's exist at least until I have access to Stone II.

You know, when it becomes possible for me to outDPS them because they're still ice maging.

Had a tank who used a parser in fractal and called the healer and one of the dps out because their dps didn't satisfied him. My dps was somewhat satisfied him so I didn't get called out, but I had to leave anyway because it was getting ugly.

Healer in strength accessories and a level 38 crafting belt for Bardam's Mettle. One clemency healed as much as 4 of their physicks. I had to heal most of the aoe from the final boss, not just myself but the 2 dps as well.

Edit: and of course the scrub won the lot on the minion.

I am 99% sure you were in my trial roulette today, so weird to see forum people in game.

Also that is maybe the single worst thing I've seen in this thread. The fact that you left him in wearing that gear speaks to an amount of patience I doubt I will ever have.
