These are the two 2 Star rotations I have been using

Min stats with max CP melds, and HQ Tempura.

Here's what I'm using, min stats Specialist, 517 CP (532 CP).

    Macro 1
    Code:
    /ac "Initial Preparations" <wait.3>
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
    /ac "Inner Quiet" <wait.2>
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Piece by Piece" <wait.3>
    /ac "Basic Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Observe" <wait.3>
    /ac "Focused Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Manipulation II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
    /ac "Specialty: Refurbish" <wait.3>
    /ac "Ingenuity" <wait.2>
    Macro 2
    Code:
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Piece by Piece" <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand" <wait.2>
    /ac "Piece by Piece" <wait.3>
    /ac "Innovation" <wait.2>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    Macro 3 Normal/Poor
    Code:
    /micon "Ingenuity II"
    /ac "Ingenuity II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
    /ac "Observe" <wait.3>
    /ac "Focused Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /ac "Observe" <wait.3>
    /ac "Focused Synthesis" <wait.3>
    Macro 3 Good/Excellent
    Code:
    /micon "Precise Touch"
    /ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
    /ac "Ingenuity II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Observe" <wait.3>
    /ac "Focused Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /ac "Observe" <wait.3>
    /ac "Focused Synthesis" <wait.3>
I would cram it into 2 macros, but it's 31 steps.

I've adapted the earlier rotation to make a 2* macro, based on NQ Tempura, max CP and minimum 2 star stats (1320 crafts / 1220- control) - and allowing for a 3% inaccuracy with the simulator. I believe it still has a 97% HQ chance success rate.

If someone with 2 star ready gear could perhaps try it out to see if there is enough progress and offer some feedback please, I'd appreciate it, my gear has yet to be melded.

Thanks, this one works brilliantly. I don't think 97% hq is far off. With a bit more craft, you can change the focused synth at the end for another careful synth II if you have less cp.

Can you 1 Star with no cross over skills?

I have my culinary to 70 but dont have any other crafting classes leveled up. Is there a way i can make 1 star food as a CUL specialist and if so what would be the best rotation.

I am sure you can do it. But you may need to use some skills that do not have 100% fidelity. As CUL specialist, you start off with Muscle Memory. You don't have Comfort Zone, so you'll just have to skip it. Activate Inner Quiet, and then since you don't have Piece by Piece, you'll have to rely on Observe+FocSyn or SH II+RS II... push progress until nearly complete. Then activate Manip II, then SH II, then perhaps gamble with a Patient Touch, then spam Prudent Touches until SH II falls off. Reactivate SH II, and keep pushing Prudent Touches. Lastly, set up a simple finisher phase, do SH II, Innovative Touch (optional), GS, Byregot's Brow. And then finish up with successive CS III's.

Alternatively, instead of starting off with Muscle Mem, you can start off with Init Prep. Then activate Inner Quiet, and then use "Reflect" to reach IQ4. Then push progress till near completion. Then use "Reflect" to reach IQ4. Then push quality with the above strategy. And then finally finish up with successive CS III's.

As a specialist, you may even use the Whistle System. That system is strong when it works, but it is very luck-dependent. I would recommend not to mess with it too much unless you find yourself really lacking the power to HQ your desired item.

EDITED: ChameleonMS below is right. I have edited the sequence of actions for using Reflect.

If you are hand crafting (no macro). Do not activate "Reflect" until after you have pushed progress to near completion. This will give many additional steps under IP to conserve additional CP. The amount is random but every little bit helps.
