Grand Company Seals

While I would LOVE to have new things to spend my GC's on, I gotta admit if I look hard enough I can find things to DECIMATE my backstores. That being said applying them to something more currently relevant would be very nice though. Mount speed, Materia, new crafting mats, something that's relevant for the SB world rather than just converting it into Gil or Old progression items.

Combat tier IV materia would be nice. I don't think we have enough means of obtaining good amounts of combat tier IV materia now that it is two whole expansions behind the highest tier.

If we compare it to its crafting/gathering counterpart, it's relatively simple to get 80 tier IV's with only 2,000 red scrips (which is not that hard/time-consuming to get), and you even get to pick the ones you want. On the other hand, we need to get lucky with beast tribe quests to get the type of combat materia we need and they are capped to only twelve allowances a day.

How about allowing us to spend Gc seals on swapping retainer roles so we can change our main classes for expansions..

Why should our retainers be reset to Level 1 or be forced to wait just for us just to level them up.

GC Seals are kind of there to fuel your non-combat-related ventures -- crafting, gathering, selling stuff. I for one would like to see Hi-Cordials there, more bardings, maybe some of the hard-to-acquire minions...

I'm also probably the only one who wants this, but I'd love more equipment for desynthing. There are several difficult jumps in levelling desynthing, especially around the 170-250 stage. It'd be nice if they'd add some of the glamour items there that we use to bridge that gap, to make it more affordable.

I massively second this..

I am notorious for being a job hopper for every expansion. I am pretty tired of re-levelling my retainers. These days I think it's quicker to just level the job that your retainers are even though you may not want to.

Thanks for the feedback. It certainly does feel like we're sometimes swimming in Grand Company seals. We've passed this along to the dev. team, and they said they'll consider adding more items that can be exchanged for company seals, such as aetheryte tickets.

Since we are swimming in Grand Company seals, shouldn't we get appropriate clothing for it? GC/job specific swimsuit maybe? XD

Being forced to level a Job I disliked in EA just because of retainers was extremely unfair and I still don't enjoy the job. At least I would be able to swap mains more freely.

Edit: I don't remember if Op has a list but if they list good options for possible gc seal sinks from this thread it would make it easier for people to see on the first page.

I'd prefer consumables rather than one time purchases (like mount speed books) as single purchases are not much of a seal sink - that, and they are obtainable through other means already.

Things Id like to see:
Crafting mats
Walking speed timed buffs
Aetheryte tickets sounds nice too
Grade 1-3 materia (perhaps 4 but not too sure about that)
Regen effect pots

And such things.

Will add, being able to use seals to buy some GC gear for the fresh level 60 and 70, will put it in the middle between the npc vendors one, and the lower tomes gear.

Some glamour gear GC-themed, will be interesting to see.

Give us some consumables:

-Item that grants "Twist of Fate" buff.
-Decent quality food (nothing too strong/good that it impacts crafters, but something that people with low gil can afford).
-Item that grant a low % buff to EXP gained in dungeons ~5%ish that stacks with Heat of Battle.
-An item that when consumed repairs all your currently equipped gear (make this cost 20-30k seals and you can only hold 1 at a time), would be awesome for emergencies where you're in the middle of a dungeon and your stuff drops to 0% because you forgot to repair.
-An auto-reraise item that only works on the field and not in duties. Can only hold one, like Phoenix Down.


Just a few ideas.
