If that indeed is the case, why arent there any other native eastern highlanders? As for the existing far eastern hyurs, they are never called midlanders but are their own clan dubbed "Far Eastern Hyur"

Im not fighting the idea that these two ninjas arent native, it just strikes me as odd that they are the only ones.

It's anyone's guess really, you could make up any kind of story to go with it, I'll make one up now: two brothers who were conscripts of the empire who deserted and found themselves working as mercenaries in eastern lands who eventually fell into good graces with a shinboi clan and trained to serve in their new life only to be cut short by the WoL while assisting in a political mission at the behest of their mentor, needless to say he was sad when he received the news of his pupil's deaths.
