Steps before any nerfs was a little tight. To clear in time you either needed to understand the mechanics which were unique to that fight (wait for snares before firing the dragonkiller) or have a high dps group for direct damage on boss. Most random DF parties didn't have the dps or coordination for mechanics. Actually, the crysallis fight against Nabriales was also failed by almost every DF party back when it was less common for people to be capped on gear. I was surprised that there weren't nearly as many calls to nerf that.

Yeah, HW is the odd one out, with the Thordan fight being entirely for show and you can fail to dodge everything with no noticeable penalty.
Clear rate for Shinryu seems about ok. Rarely people clear first attempt but if they just stay and retry until they are aware of the mechanics, then it's usually a clear.

Oh yeah. That Nabriales fight. I believe most people just ignore the actual mechanics that should be followed, like:
    • Making sure you eat one of each orb type, switching one after another, or risk taking too much damage. (Some would die, but it can be shrugged off)
    • Double & Triple Thunder being the tankbuster that should be mitigated with pre-casted heals, Virus (now Addle) and Apocastatis. (No one does any of these because tanks can survive the whole hits. But still hurts.)
    • Aetherial Tear mechanic that was one of the first time people had to stand in a circle to isolate damage for the meteors. (LB3 works, but only few understands if the tear isn't killed quick enough)
