So with the lack of content post story whats everyone doing to stay busy?

Content is available. Choosing NOT to do that content isn't a lack of content.

Have you cleared all Coil 1-5 with all jobs at Min Item Level, have you soloed all bosses possible on RDM, have you earned 1million MGP...... Have you counted all the pebbles on the ground both in the Fringes and Northern Thanalan. These are Technically things you can do in game. But they are meaningless in terms of progression at all.

Sure there is content in FFXIV a ridiculous amount but most of it is pure fluff or completely negated with newer patches. What people argue about is meaningful content that progresses your character, which in that this game is sorely lacking.

barring your hyperbolic examples, there IS lots of developer created content that this individual has likely not touched. I'm not arguing , I'm pointing out facts: LACK of content isn't the problem, lack of content this person wants to DO is. " in terms of progression at all." is a lot of peoples problem when they lament a lack of content.
I am trying to point out that when you say "this game has no content" it sounds ridiculous for the amount of actual things there ARE to do in the game. If you said: "This game lacks endgame progression content." then yes. Currently it does. But it likely always will since people consume far faster than the devs an produce.
