SE please give us more housing ( small / medium / large )

I've got tons of neighbors in my ward, i think it depends on your server. its nice and we meet / mingle with new ppl all the time. i'd hate it to goto fc only because then FC's will use it as an excuse to lock you from decorating and that, what if you want to decorate and make something look nice? i say no to FC only housing. it should be all or for NONE.

They aren't going to change what is here. They're introducing more of it. That's not to say they can't also develop instanced areas to supplement what is currently available. They could also do a lot more with the apartments and they should be expanded and redesigned to make them more attractive. Most people I would say didn't want a clone of a FC room when it came to their apartments. Why they didn't make them multiple rooms with more attractive layouts I really don't understand.

They fixed small housing by introducing an additional floor. They could do something similar with apartments and I don't suspect it would take that much development time to do it.

I still think ward should be FC only and instance housing for personal houses. The server (and coding) simply can't supply enough plots for all players and their alts, so having both ward and instance housing is a nice middle ground imo.

The reason I was told was because the wards themselves are a bit of a hog when it comes to resources due to how they were coded. A normal instance, when no player is in the instance, the instance closes and its removed from active memory until someone zones in again. The wards themselves do not work like this. The wards are running full time in active memory. Every external thing players add. Every bush, every tree, every camp fire, every stable, every garden, etc run 24/7 fully rendered.



To my knowledge the servers are still the 1.0 servers, just rebuilt.

The servers were upgraded when they moved data centers its not a hardware problem its a coding problem. Crysis 3 is a good example of bad coding!!

Well if they have instanced housing everyone would get the chance to decorate and they could leave the old system for those who like it but introduce new ones for instanced only. Anything is better than we have right now because only a really small amount of people can use this content (and yes I say this even though I own a house myself)
