Confusion: Archer to Bard? Where is the Ranger Job?

You know what, I think your basically saying the same thing I am here. I am totally behind players expressing there desire for a ranged DD job as an option.

My issue is with the few here claiming that it makes no sense they way they are doing it now. I have played alot of MMOs in which BRDs were bow users. So its a tough sell to convince me SE is doing it wrong.

You played MMO where BRD were bow uses at the start of the MMO correct? This is the problem right here, I'm not sure how I can be more clear. You can't change the role a year later to something completely different. Its not about waiting for them to give us the job we want its about continuing on the path that the job has been for a damn year. To me ive always wanted to be a archer/ranger, I was a ranger in FFXI and a archer in FFXIV but now year later I end up a bard? That is what doesn't make sense to me.

To go with your other point about bard being bow users in other MMO those games aren't Final Fantasy and we know what a bard does in a traditional Final Fantasy game which is the direction they said they wanted to head.
