TBH, the poll is biased towards the classes that perform worse than the ones that perform better. The 4 most difficult classes are the ones that people try to avoid for raiding because there's no much synergy or they are just blatantly worse than others to pick.Recent poll regarding DPS job's difficulty.
Sure, it's not like playing a game of Starcraft against a korean world champion. But within the context of FFXIV itself, it's still the hardest job to play. And within MMORPGs, FFXIV is not an easy one. It's not the hardest, but comparing it to a "low-tier" character in any other game is silly.
But I guess the opinion of someone with ACN at Lv50 is more relevant than the one of more than 2000 people. Right, Sir Getoffyourhighhorse? Right.
I think they should make it so Aetherflow does not have any cooldown. Keep the Dreadwyrm stance coodlown and mechanic the same, just make it so instead of casting Aetherflow and having the skill on CD, the skill becomes a passive something that is always active, unless the player is in Dreadwyrm stance.
An example: Aetherflow III is active on the Summoner, whenever the Summoner casts Painflare or Fester one of the Aetherflow changes into a Aethertrail Attunement. This part stays the same like how it is right now, but the moment the Summoner has no Aethertrail Attunement, there is always Aetherflow III on. I would also like to see an spammable AoE skill for Summoner to be added in the game.
- Something to heal the pet.
- Tri-Bind reworked

I personally just don't like bahamut being so big and in the way, covering up mechanics, and summoners I group with rarely bother to position him. Honestly, I do think bahamut is a step in the right direction for summoner, but he stays out too long. I'd rather him be summoned, use ahk morne for an insane amount of damage (strong enough to be all his current damage output in one attack maybe), and then instantly leave.

There are people who blindly believe everything that a few "illuminate" players says and convince themselves that is true.

I know and agree it's not hard at all to play, it's easier than ever to pick up and play. Easier than Heavensward for sure. I'm sorry if my post came across otherwise.Wth, Summoner isn't that hard, get off your high horse. It's difficult, however the exaggerated skill ceiling that I'm seeing on this forum is akin to any low-tier job/class/hero/fighter in any competitive pvp/pve game. We get it, your job is bad. We get it, your job is unforgiving. You don't have to sell your soul to be good at this game.

Sorry, I don't know why he had to lash at you like that and he's not even a SMN lmao.
I'm more surprised that SMN is harder to play than MCH...That's gotta tell you something
according to the poll that was shown in the previous page. Y i k e s .

You must not be paying very much attention then. MCH is in the worst spot a DPS has ever been in this game since release.
And not just because it's bad, but Bard being better in a million ways and basically required in every raid group ATM means machinist may as well not exist right now. Very sad.

Oh no I was at the front end of the conversation with all that. You'll have noticed that a lot of the conversation around not including MCH has died down since 4.06- while objectively BRD are still better, they're not so much better with a MUCH larger population that the school yard picking hasn't affected us for a couple weeks now- at least not nearly as much as it was at before. Besides, statistically MCH has been pulling higher numbers than BRD by a small margin if you check the logs. You must not be paying very much attention then. Not that sad. I think your mindset and information may be a patch or 2 behind.

This is why it'd be nice to have actual in game personal parsers and/or parsers for static groups.
Then, players could be chosen based upon their own merit instead of being painted with the same brush for playing the "wrong" class.
Sure bro, I gotcha, it's called Naked Unicorn. If you are in the state of california, I am more then happy to ship you some. Apparently the game is played completely different with it, or at least progression seems to look different. Should give it a go, amazing stuff![]()
