    You have glam to farm,
    emotes to unlock,
    sidequests to undertake,
    Weapons to forge,
    Mounts to collect,
    Minions to collect,
    Hunts to do,
    Crafts to craft,
    Sight seeing logs to fulfill,
Grand Company ranks to go up in,
    and the list goes on.

I stand dumbfounded when people think the only thing to do in a MMO is raid, especially when devs cram some of these games (Im not just talking Final Fantasy) with so much CONTENT.

As for boss fights being scripted events? The End-end bosses maybe. To me they are tank-and-spanks to get the cut-scenes rolling. However there are some challenging boss fights in between that challenge your timing and sometimes really shake things up by randomizing AoE placements. Some levels can feel like a bullet-hell game at times. If they were all that easy, my Roulette shouldn't be a broken record of explaining mechanics to keep the party from wiping.

Also: Chat bubbles? Seriously? I have to apply a ton of filters to keep my screen from looking like cluttered garbage, and people want chat bubbles?!

The only thing I can agree with in some of this thread is the desire to talk with people on other servers, but honestly we have so many tools at our disposal like discord and the like, that I dont even really miss it.
When people talk about lack of content, it refers to what you do having max level (lv70) and it is correct, there isn't much. All you do is have this treadmill that was the same since 2.1? (not sure when it started) having weekly limit drops (2.0 dropped gear but the exact repeat was something from HW) and we do not have the 24 raid weekly drop content yet (another thing they announced that 2.0 and hw done) and that is pretty much it. For crafting at 70, it is hardly worth spending your time doing the level 70-320 gear stuff, it was killed off on the second day of release of having any value, and this was due to having extreme primal being out for so long prior, so right side + weapon was not needed. People only went after body and pants, and the only reason for that has to do with how the lock out works for delta normal. Also "Weapons to forge" = "Crafts to craft"

I like the chat bubbles, makes you feel... like you are more in the story? (hard to explain) I know they are not for everyone though it could have a filter option.

For hunts i got 60+ cracked clusters + all the mount speed upgrades, though I do a few here and there, esp SB S because the they reward so much for so little time (3 days- 1 time bonus of pvp, expert, then doing delta once for the 4 runs + 2 As or 1S in SB caps you)

Then you have to consider some of that is not for everyone, mounts and minions is more fluff, same with side quests. I do not do any of them unless I have to for air currents and unlocking DFs.

You have to do the story for lv 50+ crafting/gathering quests
You also have to level up a battle class to unlock crafting/gathering leves

It is a choice of design. The way how 1.0 did it, talking as a crafter to the MSQ enemies in the form of a minigame instead of fighting against them, felt cheap.
Don't force your opinion on me, thanks. MSQ should NOT be blocking content, like being able progress in crafting and gathering, that is the point. IDK if you feel it should, I disagree. I disagree you should need 50 MSQ for crafting and it causes problems for me when trying to level, esp when this game lacks inventory space. If they can't give enough inventory space, they shouldn't be making it so hard to level alts.

Yes I know you need a battle class to unlock leves, I sent complaints about that consistently during 2.0 with the in game help desk suggestions thing because I could not post on the forums then. In the end I hit 50 in everything without all that, then they gate you HARD even more when HW was released, and I did not like that. I do not like MSQ gating, and they should not be gating off different personalities. The only way I am buying a MSQ skip on my "former main" is if it skips SB so I can have current progress for crafting and gathering. Being able skip HW to SB is usless, because I do not think I should have to buy a leveling potion, a MSQ potion, AND take the alt though all the content just to craft and gather. No I should be able skip it all if I have a character that done it already.

MSQ blocking feels like its more programing limitations (as in unable to program it to be optional, like side quests, or lest break off some of the MSQ quests into side quests that is just filler busy work) Was it common for games to MSQ block content that are online for older MNOs? or is just just some strange thing that happened to ffxiv 2.0 + (FFXIV 1.0 did not do it, and ffxi did not do it) WoW does not do it.

Well, I was referring to legendary and Anima weapons that use a different mechanic than crafting, but whatever.

I get you are unhappy, I'll let you be unhappy and go on with my day. Hope things get better for you in this game, or the next.
