hm oddly enough had this happen yesterday alot in pvp healers pulling rescue maneuvers on me randomly don't know if it was done with good intentions or if just trolling but it was getting really annoying after awhile and i was tempted to report it as harassment.

Well then they can visit the "GM Jail". They might enjoy it! I'm kidding.
But really Gm Jail is a thing, you can youtube it. I remember once this person in a fc I was in like 2 years ago did something dumb and a GM put him in jail for a time out.
Besides that I think they use a strike system so yea, people should be careful, they don't want a strike on their account for bad behavior. It could end in a suspension or a perma ban...

As a main healer from ARR up until now I understand how fun it is to troll friends with rescue. That being said, I have absolutely no idea what would make think it's acceptable to do it to strangers. Besides being in completely poor taste, it's harassment. If it were me I'd have reported and blacklisted you.

Unless its very serious bad behaviour, a few levels worse then this. I very much doubt anything would come from a report. If SE banned everyone who ever trolled or did behaviour like that without intending servers would be rather empty.
I remember from a few years ago someone who i can only discribe as pure evil. He bragged about an incident where he and an fc member where talking about autism and at some point he offered to "fix his head with a shovel"
Nothing came ever from it and later he was still able to make many false reports about my fc leaders

During a praetorium run I decided to prank someone by rescuing them into danger. I decided to pick a ninja wearing lv. 65 gear. He never died but never reacted besides giving me an Ignore mark. I then rescued him into an AoE before the final boss died. Before leaving he said "commend me or I'll report you" so OF COURSE I commended him. But I feel like he reported me anyway. Nobody I did this to reacted this way. They either asked me why I did that or laughed about it. I think I should stop doing this...

People who pull pranks think they are hilarious, people that get pranked think otherwise. Is that too hard for people to comprehend?

As long as I don't die with a good deck of cards, rescue cracks me up. I can't explain it. I haven't used it on anyone outside of the Wolves Den while messing around with a friend. But that friend uses it on me a lot. Makes me laugh every time. If I die, it makes it even more hilarious.

As long as I don't have a good card line up, like I said. That would annoy me for sure.

If you did that to me I would also be pissed of at you. Using rescue to pull people into aoes is not cool or funny. Troll your friends not strangers, it will backfire on you and get you reported.

I'd have to rage quit, the alternative would have been a ban worthy tirade.

It's like this, if you would have done that to me and you told me in the chat: "I just did it for laugh and giggles" that's alright and I would have laughed along, but if you do that without any explanation, I can see why people get pissed about it. It's hard to understand a silent person, is he just being a dick or trying to make a joke? Hard to tell

That aside, besides using rescue for laughs and such, I don't see why someone would choose it as a role action anyway. There are just so many stable skills in role actions for healer, that I never even thought about putting that skill on my bar.
