I suspect that if any place is going to be built up, it will be Rhalgr's Reach, simply because that's where the players hang out. That and Kugane, but Kugane doesn't really need any development.

As fun as it is to think of the Ala Mhigan Quarter or the House of the Fierce as getting this development, the sad fact is that there's no reason for folks to congregate there, so the changes will go largely unnoticed. For something like this, they'll want it to be front-and-center for the players in order to make the best impact.

With any luck, though, they'll frame this development well. I'm hoping that, now that the Garleans have been driven out (for now), what was once a resistance center will start to transform into a legitimate town.

That's because players have some expectation of retaking Doma Castle when Doma was announced. Any talk of the enclave would've been a spoiler.

It is true that any talk of the Enclave would have been a spoiler. But it's such a minor spoiler that I don't know why they would have bothered. They set up Rhalgr's Reach as a very important location, and the Enclave is more or less an afterthought. I would very much like to see it expanded and rebuilt over time, but I honestly doubt that it actually will be. If it does happen I'd love to see a Doman town in its glory. Although with Kugane getting more marketing and developer/art attention I don't know if they'll bother.

I am pretty sure Idyllshire wasn't even mentioned in the lead up.

Honestly Rhalgr's Reach doesn't seem likely since there isn't much room for them to build it up. More to the point, most of the place is pretty functional and built as it is. Its a military base, not a residential settlement.

I expect that there will be some improvements to the Doman Enclave in the patch series, but I'm wondering if it will be though the crafter daily quests instead of giving them to one of the beast tribes. Rhalgar's Reach does seem fairly complete, but it would be a big change not to have the endgame area be the zone that gets built up over the patch cycle.

Maybe they'll make it the focus of whomever the new Custom Delivery NPC is.

what criteria are you using to determine "the endgame area"? capped tomestones are spent there? not hard to add those NPCs in another area as well, just like there are 2 hunt boards and 2 places to spend hunt seals.

it's already a big change that Rhalgar's is the 2nd Aetheryte we attune to.

Reach need to be preserved not built on. Nobody wants ancient ruins for a capital, I'd revolt against Lyse for that. Ala Mhigan Quarter makes more sense as the last area.

Ala Mhigo seems more likely than Rhalgr's Reach. Why else would there be an Aetheryte and a TT area in a place we only visit for 5 minutes? There is very little more to add to the Reach, the space between the landmarks is just too small to add buildings. It would look too crowded. They couldn't do much more than a few restorations and maybe turn a few tents to small houses - nothing like the undertaking that Mor Dhona and Idyllshire were unless you want to put a roof over everything. Ala Mhigo, on the other hand, needs rebuilding and repopulating. What did we liberate it for, if not to turn it back into a functioning city? Same goes for the Enclave in Doma.
