    Our ever growing settlements

Not sure if this was previously mentioned but seeing how we\\'re still at the start of Stormblood, I\\'m curious to know which area will get remodeled like Mor Dhona and Idyllshire. I highly doubt its Rhalgr\\'s Reach it doesn\\'t look like it would need some rebuilding. What do you guys think?

it's Rhalgr's Reach because that's where the tomestones npcs are (like Mor Dhona and Idyllshire)

it's probably going to be Rhalgr's Reach which is boring and awful what it should be is the Doman Enclave.

who knows they may do both! right now the only reason to go back to the Doman Enclave is to get your Hien Triple Triad card and drool over Hien's chinstrap but they could add more stuffs.

I don't expect Rhalgr's Reach to be built any further. I see places where they could add additional NPCs, but it's not even a proper town context-wise. It's merely the base of the Resistance, of which the Resistance is no longer needed for now.

If I had to guess, both the Doman Enclave AND the Ala Mhigan Quarter in the Lochs are going to be built up simultaneously with NPCs that function just like those in Rhalgr's Reach. The Doman Enclave especially already has NPCs talking about rebuilding the area, and an Aetheryte is likely going to be the first step.

When you really think about it, the Ala Mhigan Quarter is basically Idyllshire without the NPCs at the moment (and north of the Aetheryte, there's tables and stalls that are obviously meant to be populated by shops later, not to mention a lot of signs of ongoing construction such as boxes and concrete slabs much like Idyllshire before it was finished). Idyllshire and the Dravanian Hinterlands were originally going to be on the same map, but the devs split them apart due to concerns about map overload. I get the impression they want to try again with the Lochs, although Ixion spawns are definitely going to be a problem.

The Resistance at this point is basically the Ala Mhigan Army. That's what usually happens when a revolutionary force overthrows the government - they become the de facto government.

As for building up, the developers seem only interested in adding new stalls. I came to the game long after the whole patch process that built Idlyshire, but it seems redundant to do such again if a few npc with modified stock could do the same job or another. They got their formula right the first time when they set up Rhalgr's Reach. What is there to add?

The problem with Idyllshire was that EVERYONE was funneled into that area for endgame. It caused major load time issues for those with weaker computers and higher populated servers. I'd think the devs want to split the population for this expansion.

The devs so far are doing a little bit better with splitting players up between Rhalgr's Reach and Kugane (although not by much) by giving Kugane a vendor that sells items needed for new Culinarian recipes. I expect them to encourage that even further as the patch cycle goes on. I suspect the only reason they haven't set up the Doman Enclave and the Ala Mhigan Quarter as proper settlements immeidately is because they want to avoid newer players being inadvertently spoiled by people talking about the vendors in those locations in passing.

We may see the Doman Enclave used for the 4.0 Relic Questline, Tsuranuki's there now being grumpy about all he needs is a roof to keep is tools dry.

That would be smart, and certainly would help the story move past the destruction left after the ouster of Imperial forces. You have to feel sorry for the Domans, they have only two villages left standing after all was said and done. Hien doesn't even have a place to hold court - although to be fair this was A) Not that important to him at the moment and B) Makes it harder for the Imperials to counter-attack by denying them a target.

If I had to give my bet, it would be Rhalgr's Reach. The Reach is a location that was visited several times in the main plot, and has plenty of room to expand. At the moment there is a good deal of 'open space' within the encampment, which could easily be filled with new structures and the like. Not to mention there was a big focus on Ala Mighan crafters/masons, with the group even specifically visiting Ala Ghanna. Improving the Doman Enclave as well would certainly be welcome (and would give a purpose for the area) but I don't know why exactly they'd want to make two Idyllshire/Mor Dhona areas. Not to mention that while Rhalgr's reach got a lot of marketing and attention, there was none for the Enclave. There is a possibility that the Enclave could be important for Eureka or another feature, but if I had to guess it'll be only Rhalgr's Reach.
