FFXIV is not Dyslexia friendly, can we at least get off "One exchange per lifetime"

I hope Square does more for accessibility. They need more community team on the forums, this needs to be passed on to the dev team. Since there is no reply from a team member it is doubtful that it is even passed on.

I personally hope FFXIV will have some fun things that I could do solo(gathering and crafting does not count) when I get bad anxiety I CANNOT queue for dungeons. It is physically impossible for me to queue for any dungeons if I'm having bad anxiety :S. Too much focus on group content in this game T_T.

Its an MMO, it is a group game by nature. There are single player games for people who have issues with group content.

I can't tell if this is being facetious or not because of the (Ironic?) use of capslock. I mean, if you're having an episode of heightened anxiety there's always the option of doing something else... which isn't exactly telling you that you aren't allowed to play.

They tell you if you want to purchase this but can't equip it at this time when you try to purchase something not for your class. I actually once did buy a quickarm vi instead of quicktongue and was pissed off but that was my fault for not reading. I made my 100k back though.

Can I just make a (pedantic maybe) comment on the materials/materiel discussion? While they are annoyingly similar words, they are actually not the same. Materials is materiAL, while materiel is materiEL, which is a different concept. MateriEL means all the things used and needed in a business or operation (much like personnel is the people), or military equipment (guns, ammo, tanks etc.).

So, the materials tab holds all the crafting materials, while the materiel tab holds all the other random crap you might need to do your job (like cordials or bait or the XP bonus manuals).

I do agree that it could use a serious rename. Even my non-dyslexic former English student self had to take a few times reading it before noticing the difference.

It was split into two sections because it was getting to be a long list otherwise. That much makes sense. But only the crafting materials one should have been called "materials". The other tab, the one with quest items, augmentation trade-in items, consumables, and so on, could have been called "other" or "miscellaneous" or something that doesn't duplicate the name of a different category.

p.s. Anyone familiar with the Japanese, French, or German versions? Is this problem of both those tabs being given essentially the same name just an issue in the English release, or all four?

The absolute worst thing about this in the game are the Zhloe quest items and materials. I have a auditory processing disorder and "Maelstrom Materiel" " Maelstrom Materiel Component Materials" "Maelstrom Materiel Component" make my head hurt. The way they name things in this game sometimes can be terribly clunky.

So that is what it means.... So the one with the S on the end is for crafting and the one lacking it is all the non crafting mats, Why couldn't they explain that? To me when I first looked at it, just seemed both had crafting mats and was random ( like thinking Smelling Salts is a crafting mat, like how you use stat potions in gear)
