Geomancer I've always seen as an interesting concept to pull off, but the whole thing about this strict adherence to the FFXI version means that nothing new and/or innovative can be brought in with the job. The whole hype train with the Geomancers from the Astrologian questline also feels like a massive red herring, as every facet of it simply screams out that it's just a Conjurer with a fresh coat of paint, both in action and in theme. Like I've said in some other thread about Geomancers, I think if we do get Geomancer as a playable job, it will be absolutely nothing like the Hingan version from the Astrologian questline, especially after seeing Ishgardian Astrologians in Coerthas Central Highlands and then getting a job not only looking nothing like those Astrologians, but then using those Astrologians as a plot element much like how I'd suspect Hingan Geomancers to be for a starting Geomancer questline.

Pretty sure if I were to make another Geomancer concept, I'm not sure if I'd make it either a tank or another DPS, but I'm more than positive it would rely more on a theme of magnetism under the notion that geomancy is not manipulation of the earth, but rather manipulation of the force that binds the world together. That way, there wouldn't be any thematic clashing with White Mage while still retaining the appearance of an Eastern-themed spellcaster.

As for this concept, it's not bad. Pretty much of the same mindset as Mimilu in that the cycle system could use more ebb-and-flow to it.
