I'm assuming their point was that it's not good class design when the only thing making SCH viable is the bandaid fixes it got recently. Which I think we can all agree on is true, there is no way people would be taking 4.0 SCH in raids if they were serious about progression. At least not for O3/4s. The job is viable, it's good but it's also a valid opinion for people to speculate that it's still the worst out of the three healers.
Your last sentence is also just petty. This isn't some competition as you're trying to make it out. All that the good healer mains want is for the three jobs to remain balanced, but for them to also maintain some identity and fun in playstyle.
