because by definition it isnt fluid because it doesnt match the designated charge bar and it prevents you form proceeding to succeed your list of spells to cast - which again is the opposite of FFXI.

because it works for you doesnt mean its a universally user friendly system. FFXI cast system was more userfriendly and even then it was considered by most other game companies and players to be clunky in comparison to other systems that used action bars and not solely on macros and menues.
now we have a hot bar but the animation lock system took a step back.
I'll just respectively disagree with you on this whole subject. There's no reason to keep going through the same circle.

I'll leave with this: Fluidity as I define it is controlled by how quickly you can release spells in succession and has nothing to do with the animation and charge bar of the spells. Each game is different in how they go about this and just because it's not visually in sync for you, there is a regularity to it that you can get accustomed to.

Tip o' the hat for keeping it civil. Happy hunting.

    you as well.
i personally disagree that every game handles this concept differently as every other game is deemed a WoW clone partly due to how the action bar system is.
you hit your spell button and its immediately casted as long as your not in the middle of casting another spell. its just so simple to me i really hope our action bar goes in that direction.

A lot of you don't understand why the queue sistem as been removed : ifrit.
Since it's impossible for them an this time remove the animation lock, queuing magic would be 100% death in this fight. Basicly, if you're casting something, have an eruption below you, the animation lock you in place resulting in severe damage. You can only wonder what would happen if you are double the time binded to ground queueing magics...

tl:dl: deal with it for some time. Also, in every other game on the earth you can't use any other skill when casting

No, but you can chain the next spell if you press the button an instant before the current one finishes, which gives exactly the fluidity the OP is talking about. Also,in most games you can instantly interrupt your cast to move out of the fire. I suspect Ifrit bribed the developers to get the edge on us.

the above should not be taken seriously under any circumstances.

game is 50% done what you want. give them a year and maybe the game most bought last year will be 100%. and worth the money paid.

my house is in rebuilding stage. this house is very small and in unpopular area.
the roof, floors, plumbing, and gas are all broke.
my landlord fired the original crew. for not completing the job on time
the new crew comes in and makes all kinds of promises, and shows me pics.
now for next year i have to wait for them to finish the job.
should I move to a more popular, bigger house rent it for same price?
or stay in the part of my house that is not being rebuilt. but still pay same rent as others.

Its clearly a lag problem with their servers, if you notice half the time the cast bar doesn't even match up to the finishing of the spell.

I assume we are stuck with it until 2.0.

I agree that they need to get rid of the annoying confimations on some spells.

i think it is partly lag as well because ive noticed there are times when i can almost cast my next spell in immediately after the other like a normal MMO, but its only every so often which i thought was odd and annoying.

    THIS 100%
im glad someone actually gets what im talking about.
the developers can create any animation smoothly.... why does my hand need to go back to my side before i can cast my next spell?

oh well, we will see what 2.0 brings, i suppose ill just stick with melees for now since i dont have to deal with constant confirms and blind succession timing.

I still like how the charge bar charges all the way full and I'm still casting my spell.

Or when the casting bar is halfway full and it casts.
