I dont know what content OP has been doing or what is his skillset, but on the savages ive been all the decent tanks with a dps build do around the same dps.

Buff the other tanks, nerfing is not a solution to the underlying problems
As much as your joking I kinda sorta wish it was true. Would finally allow some real diversity in jobs. Especially with the way se tried to make whm a pure healer. Pld a defensive tank. Be much more interesting that the every job can do everything crap. Where it really doesn't matter what your party make up isAlright, lets nerf PLD's damage output through the floor. However! The trade off is that PLD's defense and healing are boosted to the point that a PLD and 3 DPS can easily clear a 4 person dungeon. Or a PLD, 0-1 healer, and 6-7 DPS can handle 8 person raids. Everyone is so quick to point out that PLD is the defender tank, so lets take that to the max! While WAR and DRK will have L33T M4D DPS to throw out, but need healer support, PLD will deal almost no damage, and make up for it by having more DPS players along in the unneeded healer spot. Everyone's happy, right? >_>

With the way encounters are designed, there is no "low defense" to make up for.
I still think you need content designed for two tanks. But 2 tanks, 1 healer and 5 DPS should be an option if you have the "king of mitigation" in your setup. But, PLD should have the option to trade the right amount of damage for the right amount of defense, for when you end in a usual 2-2-4 setup where the increased defense is not needed. For example, imagine if the PLD could Block on GCD. Sure, it can allow you to have a permanent -20ish% damage reduction, but at the cost of most of your DPS. So you'd have to chose how many GCD you sacrifice for mitigation.

Instead of this total bull, how about SE actually balance out the classes so that any combo of tanks would be viable in all content. It's really poor balance to have 1 class be OP and the other 2 be lackluster to barely satisfactory at best.

If PLD was 100% in efficiency, WAR would be about 95% (I would go as far to say about 98%) and DRK would be about 90%.
Not this nonsense how of PLD is like 130%, WAR 70% and DRK 50%
For the most part the Tanks are balanced, with a slight lacking in DRK mitigation and DPS
I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not.
I love how everyone who ever played pally acts like they didn't start off as the best tank in game during 2.0 then warrior got nerfed to lower IB from 300% life back to 100%. Hell I remember the beginning of coils I cleared Twin as a solo pally i90 gear. It was only when we got are dps stance from HW we became OT gods. Also nobody's talks about the bonuses we lost for having stacks and not using them
I don't know what the solution is but we fellow tanks need to stop butting heads otherwise its going to never end. I remember back in very early 2.0 plds were complaining about wielding toothpicks with the amount of damage they do and warriors were complaining that they had a giant axe and were doing the same dps as a paladin with a small sword. Its funny if you think about it. Now were back to practically the same complaints.
The only thing I can agree towards currently is that there should be a balance between utiltiy/mitigation/dps for tanks marginally. The counter to that is that we currently have a very high tank dps meta because of hard enrages and SE is shooting themselves in the foot cause of it... seriously what happened to soft enrages? Paladin finally gets an amazing utility skill and things like ahk mourn spam soft enrages are gone... So the utility part when considering balance for tanks is really not nearly as comparable to the DPS aspect. There's a lot to consider right now, that's why I don't have much to contribute to a real solution. Right now its prolly best that the tanks are so close to each other dps wise but SE really needs to give war atleast 1 utility skill and shake it off could have been it. I'd rather see that then a pld nerf, don't worry pldbros some of us wars stand with you.
