the concept is similar to how we have "replicas" of the Allagan armors, but the original stays intact while a "replica" of the armors are made for future rewards.

the only way to get said "replicas" is to compete in the feast and get into the top 100. If you finish the season in the top 100, you would get a voucher for your choice of a replica of an old piece of a set, no the whole set that was only available to top 100 not top 10 rewards. Just one of the 5 pieces, or the new full set.

That way if you don't like the armor set that is being release because of preference, you could potentially get a same-skin-different-name "replica" piece from the old armor for glamour.

I don't want it just given to me through rank up tickets from getting to bronze through diamond. Just being able to have a selection to choose from when achieving top 100. Variety is the spice of life lol

I think some information got lost in long explanation, let me try something different.

top 100 voucher

Choices: (just using slot names)
REPLICA lone wolf coat
REPLICA lone wolf arms
REPLICA lone wolf legs
REPLICA lone wolf boots
etc.

Only way to achieve that voucher is to get to Top 100.

Plus the "Gold Medal" you could mean would be the Top 10 or Top 1 head and item, which I agree should stay with the winners since that's a true "gold medal". Top 100 does take a lot of work, and should continue to take a lot of work.

I'm not degrading the work to get there, I'd love to achieve it, But I have a feeling I might not be able to achieve it this season.

EDIT: You could think of it as they are like the "replica" trophy's/souvenirs that people get, not the original. This is excluding the option to get the Top 10 and Top 1 mentioned above. These should stay with the winners and NOT made into replicas.

im trying to understand how a crucial piece is being over looked.

You HAVE TO BE TOP 100 to even do this. It's not for gold tier, nor platinum, nor diamond.

From what I've been reading all over, PvP players are saying it's easy to get there and that players can achieve it between 100-300 matches more likely 200 and that's bottom 10.

This even benefits those who have previously achieve top 100. If you Accidentally delete or sold a piece of a set, you could use this to regain a "replica" version of the item if you don't like the new set being released.

I've also said it before that I probably won't be able to make it this season cause of time, I have a lot personally going these next couple months, but I do wish others luck on the current season.

Previous rewards shouldn't be accessible even if you do come top 100 this season. Period. You don't win the olympics in 2020 and ask for the gold medal design of 2 Olympics past. End of story. You had your chance. You missed it. It's not the end of the world.

I don't Yoruno and I've expressed several times that the likeliness of me getting to Top 100 is unlikely right now. Plus you could buy a replica of it from someone from a corner souvenir shop.

In time, developers recycle weapons, armor, items, and even enemies.

From what I've heard, they've added 1.0 enemies into POTD which I thought was really cool.

Players have mentioned about the moogle outfit and other items being exclusive, which I didn't know because of coming into the game late heavensward, being sold on the Mogstation.

These things happen everywhere and in a lot of games.

I'm a business owner so I'm looking at this from a business perspective too. More people playing PVP and earning tickets = longer subscriptions = more money.

Temporarily exclusive rewards = Less long-term playerbase = Less high skill matches = More frustrating games = Less PvP players = Less subscriptions = Less money.
