Opinions on the PS4 version, please.

PS4 Pro user here and runs great
Not being able to play during PSN maintenance is not at all true, you could still play as long as you were logged in i believe

The ps4pro version is good, it shows how the ps4pro still is a serious mmo gaming alternative!

Kinda harsh to compare it to any brand new pc setup which is costing up to several ps4pro's combined but really it is holding up for its value.

No bad things then? Well, you know the ps3 support has dropped all together right? It's not a stretch to say the same will happen at the ps4pro at some point? So you'll probably have to get a ps5 then but hey

PS4 is great! I know it's nowhere near a high end PC, but it runs great on the PS4. Using my nice 40 inch tv and my controller and keyboard I feel so comfortable. Keyboard is essential though!! I couldn't imagine playing without a keyboard. Chatting and shortcuts with a keyboard just compliments the use of a controller. If you have a laptop then discord is super helpful to have at the side right next to you too!

just not with a fancy gamer version of either as PS4 can't take the required drivers for them.

Do want to say, if your gaming mouse/keyboard can save the profile you make for it on your PC that the PS4 will be able to use that as well. I have PS4 and PC and use my Logitech G502 mouse on both and all the keys I have assigned to the extra buttons are recognized by the PS4 still. Just, ya know, you need a PC of some sorts to program the mouse in the first place.

I want to do this with my regular PS4 because I'm running out of space and want to upgrade to a bigger drive and thinking maybe going SSD just for FFXIV. Debating if it really makes THAT much of a difference but it would be nice to have!

I prefer my PS4 version for remote play for crafting and gather times and just works with no issues

I play on ps4, and I think it works great. Controller is very easy to use.

I love playing on the PS4. Controller & a bluetooth keyboard works well. I also use the discord app on a tablet.
It's definitely the best mmo experience I've ever had, since my computer is old and primarily used for work.
