The devs have not hinted at them being an "unnamed clan".
In other words, in the case of the Elezen, "Wildwood" is more of a cultural moniker than a biological distinction.

Ah you found it, cool. Yes I believe this it what I was referencing. But you can see how the inference would be perceived. It's like Portuguese and Brazilian people both sharing ancestry from Portugal, but only one being called Portuguese. But the extra clan bit has some merit too, not saying thats what it is though. Using Gosetsu as an example, the Devs have said he's neither a Sea Wolf or a Hellsgard, but he close to the later. The Hyurs of the Far East also aren't classified as either "know" Hyur clan. The Elezen of Ishgard just might not have a "new clan" name yet since the split between them and Gridania is recent, compared to the other clans splits thousands of years ago. I think maybe I'll dub them Frostborne, how's that sound, lol.

I'd like to see JUST ONE male moon keeper that isn't a villain. JUST ONE. Because so far we've had that guy from the allied beast tribe quests (what an ass) and the leader of the Coerlclaws, an abusive rapist. We don't see all that many male miqo'te in general, but the seekers (G'raha, M'razh, U'odh, M'zhet and the two Tias in Forgotten Springs) are all good guys or at least sympathetic in some way.

Also, I assumed that F'lhaminn had a moon keeper face because they liked the shape better. Do Seeker tribes adopt keepers into their ranks happily, like is this common? I don't remember seeing it in the lorebook and given the way traditional seeker/keeper societies work it would seem like the sort of thing that only happens in miqo'te that have left their tribes and live in the cities... at which point you wouldn't really be that attached to a tribal moniker anyway, would you?

There's Zhai'a Nelhah in the Black Mage questline but, yeah, in general Keeper representation is rather awful. All our gentlemen are arseholes and 90% of our ladies (Zhloe Aliapoh, Miah Molkot, Nashu Mhakaracca, the list goes on) are just completely cracked.

Yeah i was thinking of the guy from the BLM quest too. And also isnt Nashu's sister in the song birds the most normal. She's not overly modest like the Au ra and she's more modest than the lala.

He's a Keeper, my FC camped that FATE just to check his eyes.

There's a Moogle Mail quest, "The Past is a Story We Never Tell", that gets into how the Coeurlclaws ended up like that.

After reading the lore i changed from sunny to moony... male moonies seem more like they'd be out getting into trouble... I mean "adventuring"... which might explain why we don't run into many npc moonies... they don't stay put for long...

I mean, they're literally named "male child #1 through male child #10" and kicked out of the keeper settlements as soon as is possible, so... I'd imagine that puts a dampner on wanting to stay in one place for too long!

I'm trying to think of any miqo male adventurers who've been keepers. I've never really checked. Pretty sure all the npcs in gridania are female keepers? I'm gonna go have a look.

Oddly enough, the M Tribe is ruled by a Seeker of the Sun Nunh but they have an "alpha female" of sorts who is M'naago's mother, M'hahtoa. However, M'hahtoa is actually a Keeper of the Moon!



Without looking closely it's not easy to see. I know I missed it but somehow, a Keeper got herself into Gyr Abania. I checked all the other members there and they are all Seekers. Meaning that the father's dominant genes took over the mother's.

Not only this but the tribe is different. More like a small family with 2 main parents. No Tias.

I spoke with each member there and not a single one even brought up the fact that the mom is a Keeper. Not even the mom herself xD. It's like it was glossed over.

oh my i need to do those quests!! im so jealous Xaela got so muchh lore this xpac yet keepers have been left out soo much!
