From my experience if you are going to go into dungeons with the intent of experiencing them on your terms you must either
    a) Skip the cut-scenes to accommodate people you don't know.
    b) Play with a group of friends who understand you value story and custcenes
or c) Develop a thicker hide and ignore people who want you to skip the content you enjoy.

I have a macro on my bar that says "I'm New to this area. As this is my first time, I will not be skipping any cutscenes; sorry for the inconvenience."
I leave it at that. I have only had one person gripe at me, and I promptly ignored them, everyone else has been pretty nice in one way or another.

You need to go with what the party is doing, they're running ahead? You run ahead. You and your friend leeched this party. I'd have booted you. Your experience is not worth more than mine or the parties.

    Oh I forgot to add
    d) Accept the fact that people like this guy (above), do not consider the party yours, but theirs, and you may have to suck it up or get kicked; or in the case you are the leader, they may leave. Again, if this bothers you, don't pug.

I have heard that on JP servers they wait on new players watching cutscenes.

So its like on JP servers if you cant wait on new players watching cutsences, don't queue roulette for story dungeons

you go with duty finder, you have to deal with what find.

Was he rude saying you that? I guess. But maybe you also were a bit rude, cause you are disregarding his time (other party members were ok with you viewing cutscenes...but clearly, he wasn't )
Anyway, you shoudn't think about it. This isn't a old style mmo where community and reputation matter, so just do whatever you want.

BTW, if you wanna see play those dungeons as intended, use minumun item level, and watch the cutscenes with your friends and get involved in it. Putting those cutscenes in the middle of the dungeons is a really clear design flaw, but to be honest, they were quite cool the first time.

But now, there's no reason to watch the cutscenes on a duty finder party. You'll just be going from cutscene to cutscene without actually playing at all. So, you don't get to enjoy them more than watching them on youtube or at the inn, because you don't play the scenes between the cutscenes, as it was intended.

We were not asking them to wait for us at all. But neither should our gameplay experience be ruined from some arse that wants to call us "rude".

If they are playing the dungeon for loot or for any other reason that they want to go quickly, then they can use the Party Finder. If they got in there because of Roulette, then I guess it should be taken out of Roulette. That would be a simple solution from SE's side.

There's no excuse for that kind of crap, though--calling people "rude" for playing the game how it was intended.
If they take it out of the roulette, no one is going to do those dungeons. You'll be stuck in the queue forever and with that, you wont be able to finish the 2.0-storyline (until you grab some friends and go unsyched - or syched, doesnt matter in the end). I know its a tempeting solution to say "well, lets just remove everyone who doesnt want to run those dungeons properly!" - but with that you're removing 95% of the people currently doing those dungeons with the other 5%.

The problem with the "playing how it was intended" is though: the way it was intended is for 8 people to watch 45 minutes of cutscenes - great for the first time, okay the second... aweful on your 10th run. 45 minutes isnt a small portion of time, specially not when you compare it to the 15 minutes that dungeon actually takes - again: its bad design and SE learned from it. Not all intentions are good - and this clearly wasnt thought through at all.

Of course, if the rest of the party agreed and only one person had to be a bit of a jerk in the end, that sucks and I dont want to defend that - but even if those cutscenes are intended, its still a lot to ask of a bunch of strangers to wait for those.
Again: Not your fault. But I cant really blame those people either. If you've got only 2 hours of playtime each day and you spend half of the time waiting for someone to finish a cutscene... thats not fun.

And not wanting to be rude here either, but: If you feel your experience is ruined by someone calling you "rude" when they felt they've just carried you through the dungeon (what they did, objectivly speaking - more or less by their choice, but when you were watching cutscenes instead of fighting you were pretty much dead meat - all unfortunate and not your intention to "leech" but again: two sides here), you should invest in a thicker skin here.

what we did once for those with a new player is we queued with 2 tanks and 2 healers with one of the healers being new so he could watch cutscenes and since we had the key roles for the party the dps couldnt say anything because we wouldnt even cross over that line for fights until our friend was ready

Thats how we did it back then aswell - but today I would strongly advice against this methode. If you're three or four (or even just two...) people already, dont even bother with DF. Unsych the whole thing, its a lot less painful for everyone.
Back then this might have been a legit methode - today there is no need to hold the rest of the party "hostage" anymore, so to speak. While you did nothing wrong ofc by watching your cutscenes and making sure others could aswell, I'd still say its the better thing to do to avoid a situation like that completly if you can.
Back then that wasnt an option - today it is!

? 'Guy above' simple said to go with what the party wants. Nothing about what I want. People like me consider the party....the parties and whatever the majority wants goes. Simple. Take your drama elsewhere.

Jeez, sorry to hear that. While I never watched the cutscenes myself I've always been very vocal about letting people watch them, especially when I see someone getting ready to pitch a fit.
