I dont understand why it is such a big deal what race is in these artworks. For me it matters 0 what is drawn there but the rewards for the events.

The OP could explain what exactly is the problem with it or why they are. From their OP I dont see what exactly is the issue.
Oh well whatever. Doubt they will change the poster race Cat anyway.
Maybe we'd just like to see more FemRoes because we like how they look?
There are tones and tones of artworks from kittens, but few include FemRoes. Why is it so unreasonable to ask for a change there? If you like something that isnt reperesented, what would you do? The clever thing is: ask for it to change!
(Bit offtopic, but maybe a fitting example: My dad used to go to a pizza-place close to his office, but since he doesnt eat to much, he could never finish his pizza. So he asked the owner "Hey, could you make smaller pizzas aswell?" and the next week he was greeted by the owner, waving a smaller pizza pan, telling him: "Here, now you can have small pizza!" A few other customers liked that aswell and even if the majority stuck to the normal sized pizza it made my dad a very happy customer! Because he asked for something that he'd liked to see even if the majority maybe wouldnt want that.)
Appeal to every player by including every race in promotional art, rather than just focusing on the token cute race (FFXI was fairly balanced in this regard, as there's a fair amount of promotional art including the Galka and they look adorable).
I've posted it before, but here's the very first seasonal event art for FFXIV:ARR
