    I think it's good for the game. I really liked the old system (and made several videos of it for me to be able to look back on in future when I knew it was going). I do feel underpowered now as a healer - no proper Esuna or AoE throughput, and only laggy Benediction as an instant makes me feel neutered and helpless when people die. With WHM in particular it often feels as though I don't have many options to choose from in hectic battles and I will lose people eventually. But at the same time, I can rack up more kills than before and mistakes are a lot more punishable, which makes things interesting. Crowd control is less powerful than it was. And people don't feel as immortal which encourages trying to kill them.

    I feel that in spite of the shortcomings, balance quibbles and nostalgia for the old PVP, it's a good system. So much less convoluted, and when I introduce friends they don't all make the same annoying mistakes of not hotkeying their PVP abilities or not understanding how to use them - with no training mode worth its salt it's hard to learn PVP without being thrown right out there in the middle of battle, and learning the system at the same time as learning the actual game rules in FL/Feast is a steep curve.

    (I'm not a newbie, but if you'd like to believe I'm bad I'm willing to accept that one.)

    To topic: The PvP is incredibly boring since SB hit the Servers. Is it just because of the way Skills are handled now? Who knows. But the overall "equality" how everyone is handled is not encouraging me to play any more PvP than i have to.

    Sorry that guy really made me angry I have zero tolerance for that type of player. I'll edit it.

    However the new pvp is demonstrably a success given the vastly larger number of people who queue for it now.

    Well, greatly reducind the required knowledge, skill and overall attention one has to have to play PvP of course will increase the number of sheeps joining it.
    That doesnt mean that the PvP itself is good. It's just easy to play.

    New PvP feels like a half-baked moba.
    Very few skill, but slow gameplay...
    Balance between jobs is terrible. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't tested before the release.
    Also, I main AST in both PvE and PvP since the very beginning of HW (even when AST had 15 sec cards...) and now, I've lost everything in PvP...
    No more shields, no more Hot, no more sect, no more aoe heal, no royal road, no redraw, no spread, no celestial opposition, etc.
    You only have 4 cards with 1 useless and 1 to weak.
    Even old PvP skills have been deleted. Now you must select so much less skills (and pvp rank is useless too), 5/6 usefull skills for healers and only select 2.... ( sprint is not a base skill... great...)
    Get reduced to 9+2 skills is really bad...
    Before, healing in PvP was very intense but now it's boring.

    And of course SE found a way to promote PvP by adding exp to it, so even if you don't really like it, you will do it for exp and consequently they can say: "no prob with PvP, everybody do it" .

    And still no change to the toxic "only 100 players get the reward for each Datacenter and the only thing to do is spamming PvP all day" (cause let's face it top 100 weren't amazing players but people with A LOT of matches since winning rate was always around 60%)
    Just put a system where people are rewarded for their rank (bronze,silver, gold,...) so once you hit the rank you get the prize. It reduce player toxicity by a lot.

    I don't say that old PvP was really good (it was 5 or 6 /10 ) but at least it felt like a mmorpg pvp. Now, if i want to PvP, i can go on any MOBA for a better experience.

    It sucked then, and it sucked now. I like the new potencies on attacks since they make combat a bit more fierce and less protracted, but that's where my praise begins and ends. Most classes got stripped to their bare essentials, which makes playing anything besides a DPS job boring as hell.

    It's no wonder then that DPS classes are still the undisputed king in the PvP world, with support classes dwindling into obscurity.

    A more lenghty reply here.

    1.) Stop starting to insult people that disagree with you.
    2.) Defending someone from beeing called toxic trash is not "fully agreeing with him" or "beeing on his side" but its not beeing an unreasonable person who degrades other human beeings.
    3.) The 3 points i mentioned:

    a. Reducing the required knowledge
    -> What do you need to know when joining PvP nowadays? Nothing. You have to set up your skills (can be done in the 2 minute timer before the start) and you need to know what to do (destroy the ice, kill people)

    b. Reducing the overall skill required for PvP
    -> everyone is the same. Same skills, same stats, same everything. There is no difference between people anymore, hence long time PvP'ers dont have any advantage towards newbies
    -> Greatly reducing the skill gap between newcomers and veterans

    c. Reducing the attention people have to give towards the PvP game
    -> Due to the "equality" of players its just one huge brawl, everyone spams his abilites, and one sides dies.
    -> Even more often its just that one player gets picked upon and gets terminated.
    -> You dont have to pay attention to anything else than the map, rush there, kill the ice, dont die.
    -> When your spawn gets taken, take it back.

    Thats it. There is nothing more to PvP nowadays.
    And because its this easy to pick up and play, and doesnt require much to focus on, more people do it.

    In all honesty, come up with some proper arguements before calling other people trash. Thanks
