Who else is bored? Same Content and Formula...Was SB a waste of money?

The devs actually advocate unsubbing when you get bored or run out of things to do, so I doubt they'll be changing the formula any time soon. I keep busy by playing both XIV and Wow.

Yeah, this topic speaks volumes about how misleading SB turned out to be. None of that 3x budget thing was true because Stormblood is literally Heavensward with a new coat of paint. It's got nothing new in the endgame department at all and they still gate tomes after all these years. It's disappointing and SE have not learned a single thing from tome feedback or anything else. It's the same tired and boring formula.... i'm only on because I'm trying to finish savage but after that there's nothing left until next patch for me.

In WoW Legion if you do not grind to keep up on AP you will be ejected from your raid group. If you do not run the world quests (which are litterally FATES) then you deny yourself chances at legendaries. If you do not grind then you do not get your chance at random loot, with random stats, that has a chance to roll a random +55 ilvl boost to let you skip the current raid tier. World Quests do not revive any old content, it only exists in the new content. You do not "see new areas" its the same areas you already ran through every time. Besides the new zone, the rest of the world is pretty damn empty. So you can argue that they only succeeded in making the most recent tiny section of the world actually have a population in it. Which granted that is an improvement over Borelords of Draenor.

Simply put, Legion is the polar opposite of Draenor and people still hate it. Instead of being stuck in 1 garrison all the time you got a garrison and you have to go run around in the most anti-flying expansion to date, through the most anti-ground mount maze terrain to date, to play through "content" that is in essence smash your head against a wall for an unknown amount of hours hoping something falls out. Especially that Best in Slot legendary your raid team wants you to have or they will replace you with someone who already has their best in slot legendary.

WoW Legion right now is basically a diabloified version of WoW. People only keep coming back because they are required in order to compete, not because they actually like the content. In fact, going by their forums, they largely vehemently hate it. Especially once they found out that everything they do is going to be worthless as its only for this expansion. An expansion where the only thing consistent is how much you grind for inconsistent reward.

There are plenty of good reasons why my WoW friends abandoned the game.

Please for the love of the Moogles, PLEASE STOP saying people rushed. It's been almost 2 months.
SB is the easiest expansion for us to level in. You cannot ask us to go at a Snails Pace just for the sake of it.

The thing is with SE, when they try to introduce new and fun things, it's a bust...almost every single time.
Diadem could of been a real big hit, but alas...
Potd, is the most boringest content known to man for me...You go in there, have xx level skills/spells and things die in 2 hits.
Vermillion/Golden Saucer are eh at most. I pray to Jebus that if they implement Blitzball, it will involve the community way more.
(Such as having people make like teams ((think of static)) and we can cheer for our teams and fave players and such like in Moba!)

During the time of SB launch, nothing excited me for this expansion.
There was nothing new or interesting but 2 jobs that I didn't care for.
The story, places and all are GREAT! but everything else is just plain.
It's sad, you'd think they move away from their comfort zone. They really need to
change up the core game in 5.0...I feel bad for Newbies jumping with potion.
They wanna get to end-game with us just to chill out at Reach and Kugane.
Least they can do it now, we've been doing the same crap for years.

I think the problem is how people view old content in this game, I honestly dont think people have as big a problem with older content than in this game. But I will admit that if I for instance played one job only then this game would be pretty boring, I think the best way is to level and try every job and then see what achievements you can get. Im just now unlocking the moogle trials , I still havent even done hilibrand or the other beast tribes, didnt do any of the crafting job quest when I speed leveled them. So I feel I have plenty of stuff to do, but I also feel like most games dont have never ending content like people image either. People just have to look beyond the top half of the game and view the whole game as an entire game instead of just an expansion

Makes me wonder what all they've done...I mean, I have almost all my crafters to get to 60(only CUL is 60), then push to 70. I still need to finish getting the last 3 levels for my FSH, and 15 levels on my BTN. Then there are all the other that I need to get to 70(only MIN, RDM, WHM, DRG, and PLD are 70 right now).

Do people who are seriously bored with this already have EVERYTHING done? All minions/mounts/quests(side, job, and main)/PVP completed/collected? Surely there is something that they haven't done, or even tried that they might like.

I like stretches of the game when an hour a day will do, gives me time to play other stuff.

This. I have a lot of games that I still need to finish that I would otherwise not find the time(I do all my daily roulettes every day).
