We do have that here too, via the kupo store. :/The events feel small and unimportant in this game. Things like this only go to help in that overwhelming sense of inadequacy. If you've ever played a holiday in XI or god forbid... WOW... then you would understand why people are saying these rewards feel lazy and not enough. I personally liked the style both XI and wow took where they kept the items from previous years available for people while adding something new and different each subsequent. Most notably the Oktoberfest event in wow changed the static npc events to reflect current events in the game. I think people aren't mad they just want Yoshi ,and company to try a little harder. There was a ton of reuse in this expansion from mobs to armor and weapons. Something needs to be done about production seeming like it's being done in a closet by 2 guys. Although I love the story thus far as per the usual for final fantasy.

I don't have a problem with the set, it's the fact that we just got this gear in June. I would have rather had something like purple, pink, yellow and orange recolors of the older bikinis and pareos.

If they are really just giving us a "dye able" version of a dungeon set for the "event" then ... they might as well not hold the damn event in my eyes .. >_> events are meant to be stuff that "stands out" not "oh you got the dungeon set .. just dye able .. /gz .."

Im perfectly fine with getting dyeable shisui gear pieces...what I'm not so happy with is that they decided to simply pick ONE of the many variations and stick with that.
Why not have the event vendor NPC sell all variations of shisui? So everyone could pick their favorite pieces and mix and match them as they like.
Not like THAT wouldve been much more work for SE....

^ This is what I had in mind too when I first heard that they will be rewarding the dyeable Shisui set; kinda sad that we're stuck with just the striking/scouting version (minus the collar bit and head piece).Im perfectly fine with getting dyeable shisui gear pieces...what I'm not so happy with is that they decided to simply pick ONE of the many variations and stick with that.

Also why do I get the feeling that the only part of the outfit we get to dye is the base parts (top, skirt, ankle part of the shoes) while the rest remains the same default color. =.=

I was thinking "Maybe this is the year we finally get a dyeable bikini top! One without the tacky leopard print."
Nope. It's such a glaring omission at this point I can't help but think it's on purpose. As for the current rewards, the leggings more or less make the bottoms unusable for me so that's also a bit of a disappointment. Ah well... maybe next year.
