I play for the story, and to progress my abilities to do things(EX/Savage/Crafting - things that I know I'm not great at, and can improve).
Well you're wrong on that account. 240-260 is NOT the condensation step.
This is the breakdown to how Anima works:
1) Gathering crystals from the HW region (fate grinding)) to create your base level 170 weapon.
2) Running specific dungeons to increase your weapon's strength to 200.
3) Collecting various materials to finally 'create' your anima weapon, which is at 210.
4) obtaining 5 pots of aether oil to increase your anima's power to 230.
5) Collecting Umbrite and Crystal Sand to customize your anima's stats as well as alter it's appearance and increase it's power to 240.
6) Collecting 50 Singing Clusters to further increase your anima to 260.
7) Running more dungeons, collecting 15 Pneumite to create a new soulstone for your final weapon alteration, and doing HW content to increase your aetheric density, eventually bringing it's strength to 270.
8) Finally, you run trials for the final upgrade to 275.

If I die, forgive me. I used to be a Dragoon.
I know how it works (well I mean I did find out before posting here from my friend explaining it) but both of us, even now after you broke it down, find that word use of "condensation stage " uniting and confused what it meant. Since the full post was vague, (does not bring up "farming lights' at all, and all stages is a 'grind' it was concluded it meant bringing all the items you collect together, as getting to 260 is the last of the major items and what you can buy up before being level 60. It is also confusing why one would be worried about when they obtain a glam weapon, since you are going getting the 2.0 upgraded leveling 50-70 as a side effect.Well you're wrong on that account. 240-260 is NOT the condensation step. This is the breakdown to how Anima works:

People can have different interpretations on what is being said, you can't blame us for having a different view on interpretation. Where in your list explains what a " condensation step" means?
I think the reason the OP didn't use "farming light" in their post is because the light farm was from 2.0 relic, while the 3.0 was aetheric density that you were farming. I don't recall there being any mentioning(aside from other players) of it being light. Which, to be honest, since it was referred to as light in game by a good 90%+ of the players can be misinterpreted when someone newer is mentioning it on the forums and referring to how it is in the quest log.
The condensation step is tied to #7. Aetheric density.

Because the devs have it already planned for a specific patch (4.1 most likely) and will not bring it sooner.
Old grind get nerfed the moment the next grind is ready

In the case of MCH, I wouldn't touch that Shire weapon to save my life, lol. Glad I did grind out a relic as much as I hated them.
Besides, you said it yourself, it's a glam now, and not even a relevant one. Leaving it the way it is isn't going to make it any more appealing. I sure as hell wouldn't go back and do another purely because of that step the OP mentioned, and I'd argue that wasn't even the worst of it.
I don't play for progression. I advance purely by accident while doing story related goals. Hit level 70 on Bard a while ago...still in the Ruby Sea. I did that because of trying to finish the anima quests before the next patch. So, now I'm levelling MCH to catch up to 63 so I'm not wasting the xp. Yeah, they could nerf those a bit.
