I agree. In the end it was a pretty simple thing to do...just like all other MMOs...the highest one to deal damage to mob dictates the XP...easy enough.

But IMO Yoshida has no idea about what he's doing...the difference between common ppl and great minds is the capacity of mentalize the change, creating a scenario in his own mind and seeing the pros and cons of it...and IMO he's just a common person, unable to do this. We can see this here...being unable to mentalize, all left is the trial and error...which is what we are experiencing ingame right now...they add something and watch to see what happens.

I'll tell you a thing...when they posted the official announcement of claim changes i warned them about PL exploit...in the very same day...and still they prefered paying to see what would happen.

And now i do think "something" will happen a bit after 2.0 that will "accidentaly" cause a character data wipe...still reflecting 1.19 mess. 1.19 damaged the game as a whole in a irreversible way in several aspects...and many of them, like 30% of the population getting all battle classes to 50 in one week (PL week before 1.19a) and now pretty much the rest still doing the same due PL flaws, can only be "fixed" with a character wipe.

personaly wouldn't mind a wipe. to many people getting a char head start durring this rebuilding/ beta stage. but w/e it will only be a small % of the real population to come after 2.0

Personally, I would. I busted my butt getting my ONE character to 50. I have PL'd Gla to 36 ONLY because I dislike the job and was told I needed Sentinel for 45+ Ifrit fight. Otherwise, as much as I have been asked to be PL'd, I have declined because I want to know how to play my job and the story(s) that go with it.

I do would be pissed with a character wipe too...since 1.18 i've been refraining from battling (other than just trying out some features, like raids, leves, grind, PL, strongholds...but mainly just to see the new mechanics), focusing mainly in gathering and crafting and would be REALLY annoyed if i lose these ranks because of bad decisions regarding battle classes...after all it's not our fault if they gave us such flawed mechanics.
