What's the point of using ingenuity twice like that? Couldn't you just save it until the end and do all the carefuls at once for less CP requirement?

Your last set of Touches is boosted both by your IQ stacks and by Ingenuity, meaning each gives a sizeable chunk of quality on its own. Simply getting to IQ 11 and using a boosted Byregot isn't enough for 70** recipes, you need to build up decent quality as you go.

I have 1352 craftsmanship, and it worked 95% of the time, but I still got the odd fail - I assume due to a poor condition midway.

Weird. 1346 should complete every time, I've never had an issue. Condition should not affect progress gains, but I do wonder whether there is a rounding bug somewhere which is causing occasion fails on rotations that should exactly complete. Glad you found a workaround. I'll stick with my version unless/until I start getting the same issue!

Well, this is what i came up to when the patch hit and it worked always fine to me, i hope it can be useful to you as well even if it may be just like discovering hot water.
Also thank you Tyler for you effort on optimizing stuffs for crafters, I used a lot of your stuffs back in HW.
I tend to meld more control than craftmanship in my gear and i picked that up due to Tempura platter HQ being the best viable choice (to me at least) and the leftovers of baked onion soup still in my retainers from the previous patch.
This can be done by using one of these options. CP medication / either use both tools meldable / Blue MH and Capped CP on OH

Huh, all these years of crafting and I never knew that ingenuity effected quality. Good to know.

Only if the recipe is higher than your current level. So at level 70, it will only affect quality on 70* and 70** recipes (which are deemed to be higher than 70).

It will affect progress regardless of level.
