    Hiding Day+Night Cycle/Weather effects?

I know there's been a lot of work done with Reshade for XIV, but I've searched and can't find an answer to this...

Does anyone know if there's a way to graphically hide the in-game day/night cycle and weather effects (for the purpose of machinima making)?

Or possibly even to set the level of day/night you'd like or the weather?

I realize this is a longshot, but it's probably the single biggest hurdle to recording clips for machinima (outdoors, I mean).

That is not possible, as the night cycle and weather are not simply postprocessing effects layered over the rendered game like a reshader would do.

I would love to be able to turn off weather effects. Maybe just a box we could tick in system configuration?

Yeah, it would make machinima a LOT more manageable (and it would also be nice for people with lower-end computers).

The effects of weather/time on fishing, nodes, etc. would remain unchanged. It would be a purely aesthetic option.

This may be true for day/night but it's not impossible for weather effects. I know this because they did it with FFXI. We could turn weather effects off and on as we pleased so it's definitely possible.

Was that an official option in-game or did it require an external application?

Not with a third party application that is only capable of applying postprocessing effects. If it's ever possible, it will be via in-game option.

That's great because it sets a precedent for SE including the option to turn off weather effects in their MMOs.

There was a weather off setting in FFXI and I didn't have third party anything. I had to turn it off because the computer I had at the time got damaged and that was one of many things I had to turn off to reduce lag from it. Before that point I could have everything turned on
