Is there any reason to play BLM over RDM now days?

Given perfection in a vacuum, I'd suspect BLM would pull higher numbers. But currently, not only can RDM easily compete while being easier and more forgiving, they can pull groups out of huge trouble with few repercussions; unless they die, MP isn't much of an issue.

I see parallels to the AST buffs in late 3.0: AST did everything a WHM could and even more. Sure, WHM was perfectly viable but it was effectively replaced for a bit. RDM has stepped into a similar role.

It's very simple. On progression before everyone has a 100% understanding of the fight, RDM > BLM. For repeat kills when everyone knows their shit. BLM > RDM.
