Colored Chocobo? Instead of monster mounts?

They already confirmed colored chocobos and even possibly fat chocobo for item storage on the go I think they said. They also want the colors to be associated with success, so the rare colors will be rare for great success. What that entails we don't know but the task to change color was a little different in every FF that featured it.

Fun Fact: If you've played FF5, you'd notice that you can ride a wyvern in that game. Now, I'm not saying that I'm for or against the mount implementation, but considering you're going to go through hell and back, I don't see a reason why you can't make a drake or a gobbue your slave. I just hope it's not going to be common ground. As much as I am for this game taking all of the good bits from WoW, I really don't care if we get these.

Also colored chocobos are not in as many FF games as you think they are. VII, IX, and XI. That's basically it.

Try to be open to the franchise doing new things. If we stuck to FF roots and never added anything new, from FF1, we wouldn't even have Chocobos or Moogles. Just saying.

Little hint to Yoshi-P and the devs. They exists in pretty much all FF's. Way better then random evil mounts and brings out a "FF-esque" atmosphere.

I think colored chocobos and customizable armor is more FF. Hell why not make em breedable and giving em diff appearance. (Ex: Bigger beak, more tail feathers, longer legs, smaller neck.)

Appealing to the FF fans is what is needed ~ Not copy/pasting other mmos.

It doesn't need to be "instead of." There's no reason you can't have both. I have a feeling because chocobos will have equipment that other mounts will likely be exclusively for movement while the chocobos will be more versatile.

I also would love to have some chocobos with different colors. I like the OP. BUT! I also like the mob mounts as well. I would like to see both. also the mini airship would be fun to see.

Goodness knows that's what I'd prefer!

Plus there's thematic backup - really, there is. It isn't big but there are a few bits of lore - item descriptions and NPC text and such - discussing chocobo of non-standard colour.

Anyway, yes, I would vastly prefer they examine coloured chocobo (with meaningful differences between each!) rather than faff about with that mob mount idea which.. really I just don't like and would rather weren't implemented. Sorry.

FF way of travel? hmmm Choco, airships,boats and on few times magitek armor
how many times have you while playing FF game rode a flying eye? drake? goobue? or any other crack pot idea they do other wise?
