I vote no to more homogenization of tanks. If a specific tank's stance needs adjusting, then adjust it. Abilities don't need to be put into a role action to be adjusted.

We don't need even less of a reason not to use tank stance.
I love playing aggressively, but your tank stance should not ever be something you even have the option to not have on your bar. Particularly when it comes to pugs wherein often times you'll have that tank holding the boss out of tank stance, but who won't turn it on even when someone dies. You look like a bloody moron tanking in DPS stance when a third of your party is on the floor. Now those players will be like "oh well I didn't cross role it" No thanks.
Furthermore, we don't need even MORE cross-role actions that are mandatory.
Tanks in MMOs post-Wrath of the Lich King are glorified DPS with baked in enmity anyway. It's depressing how thin the role feels with such a massive reduction in active mitigation in all modern titles. Tanking got stupid when your rotation rarely involved actually tanking, blocking, sundering, etc and just turned into DPS trash.
At the rate we're going, we may as well make the three tanks into melee DPS and melee DPS into tanks with cross role actions since there is so little damned difference.

But then, people will advocate not choosing any defensive cross-role action because it cripples your DPS
But who knows...Guildwars tried to discard the healer archetype, maybe FFXIV will discard the tank one...which could actually bring a lot of new players.
THIS. Write it in bold, double underline it, capitalize it, paint neon arrows pointing to it, and stick it all over the dev's fridge. Be sure to include an English-to-Japanese translation book, just in case.
If anything, they need clean out the role actions again. Putting most of our defensive cooldowns AND our best utilities in the role actions is a mistake, because no matter what you pick, you're losing out on something.

Sunwell takes me back.

At the very, very minimum you can make the case for Provoke and Rampart being mandatory.THIS. Write it in bold, double underline it, capitalize it, paint neon arrows pointing to it, and stick it all over the dev's fridge. Be sure to include an English-to-Japanese translation book, just in case.

That does not leave you with much actual choice.
