Retainer pricing problem

I'm new to the game and wanted to purchase a third retainer. On the website the price for a retainer was 1,40€ yet when I paid it on steam it turned out to be 2,40€. Is that normal or is there a mistake? 2,40€ is a bit too steep for the service and I won't renew the retainer if it really is almost twice as much as advertised.

That's normal, even the Mog Station says the prices from steam may vary.

I think you paid more than a month.

You pay for retainers on a subscription basis, meaning you keep them as long as you pay for them.

It also means retainers get tied into your subscription, meaning if you already paid for 2 months of game time and have 45 days left - you would have to pay 45 days worth of retainer service for the new retainer.

It's very confusing and it's also fairly misleading in how it's displayed in the Mogstore.
