Anyone using piety? I've been piling on det and crit, but I did socket a couple piety over SS on my job artifact to help before 4.05 hit.

crit/SS, I play both AST & SCH and don't have vit melds but might swap out my remaining +12s in accs with them (because I don't really want to remove my VI materias lol)
I'm a big fan of Vit in accessories. Earlier today I biffed something in Omega normal and survived with a few hundred HP, thanks to my Vit melds. Every once in a while, it keeps you alive and that can easily be the difference between a wipe and a clear.
Beyond that, I would probably have to prioritize crit over DH, SS, or Det due to Aldo's extra crit bonus.
I think SCH gets the least benefit to healing from SS out of the three healers, with so many of our heals being oGCD and having no HoT spells for SS to buff. I would put SS at the bottom of the list.
Still getting a feel for where Piety fits in. The 4.05 changes have made MP better, but running Omega tonight, I didn't have as much of an MP buffer as I like to have. However, I remember when HW first dropped, MP seemed scarce, but stopped being an issue after gear improved.

Best tank guide ever! (Not mine but I am putting it in my sig because it is THAT awesome.)

While we don't get the regen benefit from SS like AST or WHM we do get the damage increase to our DoTs. This means Miasma 2, Miasma, Bio 2, and Shadowflare will all do more with more spell speed. That, and having bio, in 3.0 is why SS was weighted so high for SCH. What I don't recall is if it affects our Eos' regen. If it does then even better. Now having said that, I am still favoring Crit myself. PIE not so much cause with the Aetherflow changes I have found the MP issues to balance out with occasional Lucid Dreaming for when things get sour.

Edit:
Playing with Ariyala I think I am going to aim for something like this for a few reasons:
-Not assuming any omega clears
-Reduced gil consumption
-Still trying to get the most out possible
Full disclaimer: Not calling this BiS by any means just my current aim till weights are updated.

Another benefit of Spell Speed is that you have more leeway to move before a cast is finished without interrupting it. It gives you more versaility to stutterstep once you get the timing right.
Low SS builds don't have this benefit.
My preference is
Crit >>> Det >> DH >= Piety >>> SS
I went the Spell Speed route in HW eventually having a GCD of 2.22s and I really think it's a garbage stat for Scholar because it hampers the ability to double-weave with long animations (Rouse, aetherflow)
Remember that SS effects DoT damage. That alone will guarantee it's never a trash stat for SCH.
Been going crit> d.hit
Has been working out good

Yeah I haven't forgotten. In my opinion though a lower GCD is bad for Scholar; whereas DH doesn't have anything inherently negative about it, except that it doesn't affect healing, which I don't think spell speed would improve much either.
I'm on 3 atm, there's lots of damage. the White add hits like a damn truck. she uses more aoe damage than anything and has a new tank buster called "Critical Hit" which can and will 1-shot the tank even through your Adlo. like a chainsaw to a stick of butter really. she does 1 right at the beginning of the fight and more throughout the fight. it's a slow build-up.
