Every fish is usefull for culinary desynthese
so you don't stockpile them
Do them or put them into the market board

Speaking as someone at max or near max desynth skill on Cul, no they're REALLY not. Most of these fish aren't ever going to sell on the market board, either (there's also the fact that desynthing literal mountains of fish is a carpel tunnel inducing PITA).
Because 8 people are always available at the drop of a hat to do a map the MOMENT you want to, right? :P Most FCs save up maps for a "map night".so you don't stockpile them
Do them or put them into the market board
This game is horrible for inventory space. Be it through glamour being a giant dumpster fire or trying to be a Culinarian (which routinely uses materials that are two expansions old in current recipes), inventory management just plain sucks.
And it's only going to get worse as more xpacs are released and more items are added to the game. I love this game, but the devs need to wrangle the inventory situation before it spirals any further out of control...
And no amount of apologizing for the terrible state of inventory management is going to fix it. :P
Oh good, I was just about to make a topic about this. I just got cul desynth to 300. It's a bit sad that the Stormblood fish are desynthing down to mostly the same materials (or materials that are equally useless) as starting level fish. Given the sheer amounts of profitable materials that one can gather from the other desynth classes, fish just isn't worth the time.
I would love to be able to desynth batches of fish in one go. Desynthing 5-10 at a time would be a great time saver. Heck, I'd argue that even desynthing entire stacks of certain fish would be a good feature. We'd still have to take the time to make all that sand into mortar, so some form of profit can be made. Of course, given the current price of shards, mortar may no longer be worth the time either.

I think a quick desynth(they have quick synth, so why not a desynth?) option would be great for this. I just recently started to desynth stuff(very late to the game considering I rarely run anything that would help level those up), but I can see the benefit of something like that.I would love to be able to desynth batches of fish in one go. Desynthing 5-10 at a time would be a great time saver. Heck, I'd argue that even desynthing entire stacks of certain fish would be a good feature. Thank you, exactly this ^
And when i have retainers all full, and i go from gathering place and gathering place not being able to have the same type of maps in inventory is really stupid, i do not see why having them stackable is of issue
