You can see something is wrong when you can craft 2star item using normal mats with a macro.

SE was really sloppy, for example, I have materia for getting my miner/botanist to 1200 percpetion, but why would I do that? I don't need HQ ore/plants, I can hq everything with just normal mats.

Crafting wasn't difficult on 3.0. It was based on how many hasty touches can you spam and hope that 70% chance was successful enough. RNG is not difficult, it's tedious and exists as a bad method to waste your time and inflate needed stats. You SHOULD be getting better as you gain experiance. Work faster, less effort, less mistakes, less wasting of materials. That's how progress is suppost to work.
