If you truly cannot do that they sorry to be harsh but that is neither the playerbase nor the devs problem. The devs have done everything they can to make the raid accessible while also making it the most difficult content in the game (some would even say they went overboard with laxing the difficulty).
lets call NM what it really is, story mode. You got the story and you got to see a basic version of the encounters, that is more than enough, there is no reason why you should get to see the badass moments of the true final superboss of the game, fanservice or not.NM was awful and a huge letdown for one of my favorite final bosses in the entire series and I don't think it's unreasonable to open a fanservice fight to the majority of the playerbase who for whatever reason do not raid.
So SE if you're reading this please don't gate fanservice fights like this it really sucks
I'd say that the fact that this thread exists makes it a huge incentive to raid wouldn't you say? That would mean that gating the phase is a good idea. I haven't been this hyped to participate in actual raid encounters since T9, and that is an extremely good thing.

There's no reason I should and no reason I shouldn't. I am posting to request that they change it. You realize that 99% of FFXIV is fanservice right? I'm not trying to really go into it in a thread like this but there's very little original ideas in XIV. Literally there's a 24man coming up entirely based around the world of Ivalice. I don't think "it's fanservice" is a justification in this particular MMO.
Yes, and until now none of it has been savage/extreme exclusive. This is a trend I hope there is some resistance too before they pull this on Kefka, or Zeromus, or Sephiroth. You realize that 99% of FFXIV is fanservice right? Its fine. He can suggest it all he wants- It's still never going to happen.
Thats fine and all, I am posting to counter your request and asking the devs to ignore it. That's all.
Other than the fact that you don't have the progression requirements

Then do so and don't try to change my mind about what I do or don't deserve or should or shouldn't have access to. To me this was important enough to make a thread about on the official forums that I never use. If you feel so strongly that it should stay the way it is then by all means do the same.
What exactly is stopping you from going there yourself? It's not like it's particularly hard..
It's not like every single raider is of the same caliber as those of ANGERED, who've cleared all the savage content in a day. Those guys are beasts, congrats to them. But most people just take it at their own pace, so what's stopping you from doing the same?
