So uh... whats up with the end game gear designs lately?

Personally, I think the long-coat is a step in a better direction, though, shame on me for not reading the fine print of the contest, although I did come in on the tail end of it.

Nevertheless, I am more than satisfied with a long-coat of sorts in lieu of any item that looks like a robe. It seems as though we healers are doomed to just get robe after robe after robe into infinity, which after 6+ years of being a healer main, is quite exhausting.

While I'll admit that the Lost Allagan set isn't what I would consider the best, I'll settle for that as long as we're not getting another robe.

I actually like the healing set. Makes me want to finish lvling my WHM. The only thing I don't like is the helm and that the sides don't close in the back to make a coat.

The creation tome set is the Tank Design contest winner, just adjusted to fit the theme of other roles.

The Omega gear is apparently a tribute to the best armor set in an older FF game.

That being said, I agree I'm not a fan of either look.

I think the Creation gear is FINE, but it looks a little too Alexander-ish in my opinion.

When I ran to check the gear I legit searched for my Alex caster chest because they looked too similar in design. Outside of the decoration and the creation gear having slightly longer sleeves, the coats were basically the same.

The creation set is pretty nice. I like the look of it, and its allagan theme my favorite. However I understand it can be boring because its so similar to existing gear, probably why SE choose it because its easier to make.

They really need more original artists in their dev team :x everything is starting to look like world of darkness or your usual boring alexander gear. Hopefully 4.1 gear looks more original.

I don't mind the lost Allagan gear. It's super pretty, I just don't think the white looks good on my xaela. It would be nice if all gear was dyable. The appearance shouldn't matter as much as the stats. Don't punish people for not doing savage.

FWIW I kind of like both sets, though them being undyable is unfortunate.
Except for the helmets, those are right out and not something I'll ever use.
