People ask for genji armor, SE gives it.
People say genji armor is terrible and say that the design is bad (for a genji armor, really ?)

Don't worry, you'll have more different sets later. Keep in mind that you can't please everyone. I personally like genji and tome gear.

Personally, I like both sets. I don't really dig metal armor normally(Xenobian was the first metallic armor glamour I've ever used) but I really like that they're trying out different designs for gear! Still like my Scion gear on SAM, but maybe I'll finally change my Arachne glamour on NIN... which I've been using since 2.4, haha. Best million Gil I ever spent.

So basically people just want more THOT gear for their catgirls.

I'm pretty okay with the gear we have at this point. The gear from Castrum Abania is really good, the Sirensong Sea gear (while not new) feels fresh because it can be worn on jobs that weren't able to wear it before, and I actually really like the Genji gear. If anything I'm surprised that I dislike the Creation gear, because I quite liked the contest winner's design. But, not everything translates well from one medium to another.

I just wish they would use different silhouettes for some gear. While the detailing varies, everything generally looks the same these days.
That said, I like the job specific gear. Verity is OK.... The rest I do not like so far in SB.

I...don't think you've played FFV to even really be complaining.
Who's from FFV? Gilgamesh, who travels through the rift? Gilgamesh, what armor can you obtain from Gilgamesh? Genji Armor, what this raid tiers armor based on? You get the idea.

Genji armour has been in multiple FF's...even before V. It's just most notable in V because of Gilgamesh and his first appearance.
When I said "FFV inspired" I mean the JOB armour or even the characters concept and weaved into gear.
Even so, they could of done WAAAY better than this silly mash-up design. They are cleary running out of idea's.
The Genji armour could of been done way better.

I would say host more "Let the players create" but they seem to go back to their roots and pick
designs that are what they usually make...No point really.

I'd rather not be forced into sexy/revealing/skirts/etc just because I play a female character. I much prefer armors that are equal-opportunity in their treatment of covered vs noncovered, heavily armored vs lithly armored, skirts vs pants.

I do not mind a little skin. People call the Shisui sets on females "provocative" but it's one of best gears I've seen in a long time.
Unisex gear is just rehashed things, gives them little room to make fun and cool gear. :/
I would rather them have
"Female" and "Male" versions to be honest and give the people a choice.
TERA/AION craps on the games gear imo.
Look at the gear I show in that picture. Does any of that gear looks "too much" for you?
But different strokes for the folks.

I feel like it's mostly on gear you won't be wearing very long anyway... kinda the same as with mob reuse (slightly altered) in places where people won't hang around for long.
And there's always all the glamour to pick from right?

Glamour is highly loved in this game (Remember, glamour is true end game!)
But I wish they made more gear, glamourable and not reuse.
I like WHM's AF3 and glamoured it because I look like a Princess lol.
I just wish for my cute stuff honestly...

That's the issue with most MMOs, it's either revealing for females, badass for males, or mediocre non-flattering armor for both. But there's a lot of item bloat if you DO end up offering them regardless of character sex, but in distinct silhouette styles (eg. feminine, masculine, etc.), which I feel may be the issue stopping it from being a reality, because it feels very superfluous from a gameplay standard.
