So uh... whats up with the end game gear designs lately?

all the tome gear and raid gear has been hideous so far. I'm not terribly impressed lately. The last set I actually liked was Midas.

Those also look hideous imo. I think the Shire gear is their best work yet. As for the Cybermen armor, it's not too bad. I think it definately looks better then the Samurai omega armor.

What I wouldnt give for a more form fitting healer design that didnt use robes... honestly I could think of many other ways they could have made a design based off that tank gear that didnt look so darn frumpy in the waist. That headpiece is also detestable.

I would have much prefered they kept the breastplate portion from the tank design and then added some kind of long skirt or something that draped from the breast plate. I really dislike the frumpiness of the midsection. That has been a trend lately with caster/healer gear.

Monk/sam gear actually made me want to vomit. Caster gear I can sort of live with, minus the helm.

I agree that the Genji set is something else entirely, but I really love that Creation healer set and the tank set. Beautiful.

The Ruby Sea sets and the Valerian sets all look a lot better than the raid/tome gear imo. But if I don't like the way my new stuff looks I'm am completely free to fix it so meh.

I love the creation gear. I am a huge fan of allagan armor so having more of it doesn't bother me.

The ARR gear sets are still my go to sets when it comes to glim glams, mainly because most of them actually make your character look like an FF character. The recent SB sets make you look like a faceless mook you'd fight in a FF game, the AF3 being the welcome exception here.

Also, a little detail that drives me insane: In ARR, most, if not all armour had little adjustments to compensate for Miqo tails. A little bow or a gap. SE seems to have given up on that entirely once Au Ra entered the game. Why?
