Wow that pisses me off so bad. I would have done the vote kick, then left dungeon, ate the penalty then report them (with all the nice words he was saying in chat). Do everything I can on my part. Hopefully he will get a tell from a GM and many many more DF dungeons where the other party members wont tolerate their shit.

Do you have any proof that my version is disingenuous? It's interesting that just because the SAM is an FC mate and that I am a mentor that my version is seen as the wrong version. And we actually wiped before the boss because of the tank disconnecting and us not having a great time against the mobs she DCed against. So it wasn't even the first wipe...

All that was said to the NIN in combat was "Ninja" (me) and "Take tower" (SAM). I did nothing that was reportable, besides possibly hurting someone's feelings for pointing out that they were ignoring mechanics.

And the reason, I'm assuming, that the posts were deleted was because of naming and shaming (NIN quoted me). I didn't report anyone so I cannot be certain.

I can't say to be honest. If I remember correctly she just said you told her once in the middle of the fight to take towers or something (I think she said she expected the tank to take them since it's not the first time that mechanic appears in the game). I also think she said that she did have higher DPS. *shrug*

Either way though, I do think things could have been handled better, i.e. just explaining to the tank what he needed to do or doing the mechanics. I hate losing stacks on Monk and I would've just taken the tower. I remember getting a first time tank when doing it on my White Mage and we cleared it just fine because we told him what we do.

Got dusk vigil with my friend for leveling (I was the healer ofc). Tank doing two-group pulls. Not a big deal. Then after the first boss, he pulls THREE groups. I couldn't keep up so we all died. I said he pulled too many, so can just do the first group and the mobs that come for you for the first time. I thought he would do smaller pulls, since you know, i couldn't handle that pull. I don't have most of my abilities cause lolsync.

But what does he do?

Does the exact same pull and we all die again. I told him AGAIN I couldn't handle it. He then insults me saying I'm a bad healer for not being able to keep up, and that I should learn how to "play my class", when I know how to play it at that level. We kicked him for harassment.

Did I do anything wrong? I couldn't keep up, so I said I couldn't do that big pull in party chat...

Nope, he's an asshat for not trying to accommodate you, even if you'd said you were fine with the bigger pull he died twice, should've tipped him off.

The fact the vote passed without issue from the DPS should be a reassurance you weren't in the wrong.

Only thing I can think of that you did wrong, is if you let more than 15sec pass between what he said and the vote being initiated.

I once ran DF with a lala tank called "Peludo Boludo" (which can be loosely translated from spanish as "one with big hairy testicles") hat was the worst tank to ever set foot on a dungeon. He constantly lost aggro, didn't know how to provoke, let mobs loose, he even lost boss aggro a couple of times.

From this point onward, my group start making lewd jokes related to that guy's name every time one of us screw stuff up, or when we find a terrible random in DF.

I really, really wish that unspoken rule of AST's changing from Noct stance to Diurnal when an SCH is around was actually followed. Particularly in under 60 content where I don't have emergency tactics to put out AOE heals and Whispering Dawn is on a heavy cooldown... Having to spend half the fight watching my co-healer's cast bar and making damn sure that they aren't casting Aspected Helios while I'm casting succor is annoying. Especially when they pause between casts so I just never know if they stopped or not. This is just a general gripe that isn't directed at any AST in particular and I'm well aware that SE made their shields better, which I still don't agree with. But honestly isn't it better to put BOTH a regen AND a shield on the team instead of forcing your co-healer to change how they do things entirely? I feel like I'm just a glorified DPS who can occasionally heal because it's clear my shields aren't needed. Yet when I accept that fate and only provide top offs with my limited kit at those levels I'm the 'lazy' one.

I had a similar issue last night, but double Noct AST. While AST and myself were deciding what aspect we wanted in chat, tank pulled, and it was proceeded by us two healers screaming in chat about stances and useless aspects and begging for a wipe while running off the arena edge, followed by a very confused RDM and SMN trying to rez the suddenly suicidal healers.

In hindsight, it was hilarious.

But, it seems like most players simply don't know that you can't have two healers using sheild heals since, unlike regens, you can't stack sheilds. All 6 party members besides us two healers were not aware of this. We were in Royal Menagerie.

And the tooltips says nothing about this either.

Story number 1.
I was leveling up white mage in dusk vigil and just after the Oliphaunt the tank decided to sprint and grab enmity. I tried my best to keep up and heal but with all the turns I couldn't keep in line with them causing them to die. Because of this the tank had a rant at me for being a bad healer. Luckily the second try I had benediction ready and just used that.

Story number 2.
Once I was running Bardam's Mettle with my friend as my white mage. I was healing and dpsing throughout the entire dungeon being careful to not let my MP run too low in case of a death. We were doing fine until about half way through the tank stops and asks me to start using holy as well. I told them politely that it would drain my MP too much that I wasn't comfortable with it but they kept insisting. I know holy can stun but the tank kept losing too much health and when they weren't I was using stone IV and aero II/III or healing one of the others. I didn't get any comms in the end.

Story number 3.
I was running as ninja in the Fractal Continuum where we had a new healer and a giant pull tank. Now this tank never waited for anyone to catch up they would just run off pulling everything in sight then expect the dps to kill them quickly. At the end of the dungeon before the boss I saw that the healer was watching a cutscene but the tank refused to wait and ran in to fight. The other dps ran in to fight with them and I decided I would step back over the line and wait. The gate closed just before the healer got there and I had fun watching the tank and dps die, I then told them off for running off without the healer and they even apologized

Story 4:
I was doing Lost City of Amdapor as a ninja and in the last area going down to Diablos I was suddenly kicked from the group. I was being good only attacking what the tank was and staying close but once in that area the team stopped and just kicked me for no reason
